I know I wasn't very attentive during the "Rommel" beta, but what's happened to "hunt mode"?

My guess is that you are in the new Easy mode, where we remove movement penalties and thus hunt is not required.

Thanks, you were spot on. Turned out I was in "even easier" mode. No wonder things were going so well!
