Game Stability

Post by Thorsz »

I wanted to test the stability over the Long Haul. I have Windows 8 and have not experienced any crashes in any of the 6 games I have played. I set up a game with no Victory Conditions and played through to 2150 with no crashes and could likely go even further.

Been playing a lot since the last patch (0.18.2). I have never seen the AI use Nuclear Weapons or Black Hole Generators. Also, I have been able to use those weapons with impunity once I get them. Should there be a penalty like: All factions unite against you? or some other punishment for using them?

Research pacing is better.

Also, I thought that if there are such weapons, why not biological? Not necessarily pathogens, but maybe DNA altered native lifeforms or something similar. what about weapons that destroy population/units (beside orbital bombardment) that keep installations/cities intact?

Speaking of planetary bombardment, I noticed that while units in a city are degraded, the city itself suffers no damage.

Weather effects? Hurricanes? Weather anomalies? It always seems sunny on Pandora.

BTW stability seems to have returned after this patch as well.
