Deployment bug in El Alamein?

There seems to be some kind of weird bug in the El Alamein mission in the Desert Fox Campaign.
I'm able to deploy my units right at one of the enemy bases (see attached screen shot).
I'm playing on a MacBook Air, 13,3". Mountain Lion 10.8.4

Is the enemy base visible when you begin the mission? You can deploy to any visible tile. There is a bug where reloading will open more and more deployable space IIRC, but is corrected in the next update.
