I would also plump for RBS going Venetian Colonial with lots of pike and shot units.I like the army but no Dragoons is a turn off for me.

For those who actually need/would like to see my list... As each BG gets painted, you can see the victims on http://muchallsarmy.wordpress.com/ Managing a lurkio run rate, but not to the same quality/detail.... How does he manage to paint tartan at 15mm... Tried and failed....

Alasdair, I reckon your ally must be late Saxon /Weimerian in order that you can have the Dragoons etc but no extra foot. Hunter, thinks you have a unit of mounted carbine but this seems impossible when taking into account the years when you can have this ally configuration.

The challenge will be to bring the numbers to bear effectively against smaller and higher quality armies... So no picking on my Poormarshalney2000 wrote:Big army, Nigel.

I've no problem nudging my fellow players but it doesn't feel right to nudge the list checker/umpire. Tomorrow will be fine Richard. Hunter

I have made a solemn vow never to bring Later Venetian Colonial ever again. I couldn't even make it win in a Later-Venetian-Colonial-only theme tournamentalasdair2204 wrote:Perverse and the most of something sounds like Venetian Colonial, sounds like Richard and Nigel have sizeist issuesrbodleyscott wrote:I will keep you all guessing a bit longer. It certainly isn't better than the Anglo-Dutch, but I was feeling perverse. It would, however, probably win the prize for the most of something, if there was such a prize. Richard, just put your foot down and tell him no more. Alternatively can I change my army too?

Re: Britcon 2013
It certainly has won the last three games against Hunter but just seems a bit of a boring army to me after the West Sudanese. Must have something more romantic for next year.
Has Mr Avis submitted his list yet? No clues forthcoming from him.

Re: Britcon 2013
I am looking forward to it to... Friday 6pm will be my "first practice" game with it... good job ive gone for 6 games, so I claim my two worse scores as practice games
I may jump ship for Warfare from FOW EW to the FOGR.. as it means ill actually use an army in a comp ive practiced with
When using Poor foot troops I have found that the re-rolling 6s has not been that a bad thing (with a GC and rear support), its the exploding on 2 bases loss as opposed to 3 in a fire fight that is the challenge.

Re: Britcon 2013
Nigel by the way, how could you change your date?
I thought your army was the Marston Moor version which presumably can only take place in 1644.
