Tournament Trophy.

Post by Robert241167 »

Hi everyone

I have been asked to source a trophy for Bayfog which can be kept by the winner for one year and then handed back.

Schiltron have a good one which is hard wood with a scene depicting an Assyrian battle in plaster and space for adding the yearly winners.

Does anyone know where I can source a similar trophy as the person that made the Schiltron one is no longer available.

Thanks

Rob

Scottish League has a 12" model of a crusader knight on a wooden base. But I bought that whilst on holiday in France. Ofcourse I'm perfectly willing to go back and get another if expenses are paid........... :D

I'm a muppet !!

George Dick has given me the details of the guy who did the Schiltron trophy. I've held it for the last 2 years and after chatting to the guy I realised his full details are on the back of the trophy !!

His name is Chris Doble and he’s been out of the loop being treated for cancer and is hopefully on the way back. He has provided trophies for the likes of Britcon in the past so if anyone knows him I just wanted to let you know he is okay.

He’s going to send me some photo’s by post to choose from.

Rob - hold fire before you part with your cash - I gave a box full of old trophies away recently for recycling.

If I can retrieve one for you, you'll just need to replace the plaque.

I'll give you an update at or before Britcon.

Hi Pete

Are you aware it needs to be a decent size one that can be used year-after-year?

The Schiltron one is about 18 inch by 12 inch.

If the answer is yes how dare you recycle them.

I must have a few more to win before I can display that attitude........................

Yes....

I've probably been doing this for a bit longer than you have? And there's only so many you can keep.

Leave it with me.

And if you want lots of spare second place trophies, Mr Ruddock could oblige?
