Thank you Olivier.
Olivier - the worksheet with the calculations (donnees) is now visible and selectable (it's been hidden up to now). Not a problem, but is this your intention?

If I insert rows, the addition cells are turning red. also when I print out the lists on a laser printer, they are hard to read due to the grays, reds and greens on the sheet.
Yes, it's for prevent you that some of calcul may not work after this modifs. It's better to write after the last line and sort at the end.
I had stop to put nationality in the drop down bax after too many colony wish to add their names! :D I go to languages with the last versions and if you want a sheet with Maori or Rapa nui  I happilly send you a version for a translation of the different term.

As a new boy to these rules, only got them yesterday, this sheet looks excellent and very easy to use.

Cheers for all your hard work :D

Just downloaded a fresh version.

Getting some odd errors with I copy cells.

The only one that didn't go away is not always are generals called generals in the authobreak column

CiC has an 25% column of 1
two other lines of TC have 0 for 25% column
4th TC has the word general.

PS this is great work.

Some of the computing for 25% and autobreak work with order of march cell.
If you leave this cell blank, the sheet think they are the same BG! :( .
One option is to put a different symbol (not number) in each "order of march" cell of the generals.
Today I send an example (medieval danish starter army) to be put on the Nicolas site, if Slitherine team are OK. 8)

Greetings

Using 2.3.4 I copied the liste armee into a new worksheet - however this ended up with the BG counter (A11) not working on the copy (works fine on the original) i.e showing 0 even when numbers input into the order of march column (unlike earlier versions) - any idea what I am doing wrong?

the counting is made on a hidden sheet. If you made a copy, you lost all the calcul.
For a copy on another sheet , you must made a special paste and select format and value.

Greetings

Thanks.

Having unhidden some sheets and columns I see that making a copy of the sheet keeps the original formula for the BG count (Donnes!BL7) and the hidden donnes sheet is working purely from the original liste armee sheet. Therefore if you copy the liste armee into a new sheet, say sheet 1, then enters BG data into the liste armee cell A11 in both the liste armee sheet and in Sheet 1 (with no data entered) will show the same values.

I managed to produce multiple working copies using my laptop in earlier versions - I wonder what I did?

effectively, it's OK if you work on the same worksheet, because the reference table is named. If you copy on a new worksheet, this worksheet don't have this table and can't work. In precedent version cell 11A point at hiddencell IQ7 of the same sheet.
Now cell 11A point at hidden "Donnees"sheet. It save some kilo octet  and it's easier to transport with my USB key at work!

Olivier

In 2.3.4 the Pre Battle Initiative modifiers for Generals seems to be in error.
Also when choosing more than 1 General the Autobreak Column only reads General on the last entry and 0 on any others :?

Is this the cause of the error :?:

Or am I inputting incorrectly :?:

Keep up the great work.

For pre battle initiative you MUST put CinC in the column special :)
For read general on each entry, as I said before you must put a $;£,% etc... different on each ligne of general. If not Excel think is the same BG ! :x

The examples are online here :

http://fieldofglory.fr/spip.php?article2

Picture 1 is a simple sheet
Picture 2 is with order of march like in the book (you send it to referee)
Picture 3 is for you, the player, with BG in order of march

Thanks Olivier

I've owned the rules four days, and am very excited. And thanks to the author for this excellent tool!

Hey, USA and New Zealand--it could be worse--you could be Canadian. Then NO ONE would ever remember you had a nationality. (Tongue firmly in cheek).
