Shoot them once, then charge them, keep it simple
and to be exact I have 11 Dragoons and 28 Horse / determined horse
Cheers

My thoughts exactly. I suspect the answer is 'not very.' Either way, I won't be straining my limited reserves of tactical innovation:kevinj wrote: Later Imperial Austrian - It would be interesting to see how competitve it is in an Open period.
1) blunder across table into enemy foot;
2) stand in corner whilst 28 bases of h/dh and 11 of drg swirl around in an untouchable cloud...

Re: Britcon 2013
Well my made my choice and Hunter has submitted it for me. Am now entering my self doubt and denial phase and wondering how I could make such a stupid choice particularly when I see some of the heavy mounted forces that are likely to be swirling around my beleaguered foot. Ah well in for a penny in for a halfpenny.
I was tempted to make the checker's job ultra simple by submitting exactly the same Anglo Dutch list as Hunter so RBS would have three army lists he would not have to check including his own. Did not think it was right to have three identical armies, however.

Re: Britcon 2013
Just finishing off the last six bases of the new figures I had to buy.
Will send my list in tomorrow, when I have check the points for the last time.
Off to Devizes tomorrow and Italy next Friday, so great preparation. First game with my new army will be the Friday night of Britcon.
Hope the weather cools a bit by then, that hall does get a little warm

Re: Britcon 2013
by the way does anyone else - other than john - want to applaud his noble restraint in not going for anglo dutch. an army which really picks itself in terms of composition once decided on. i am sure we are all really grateful for his chosing to handicap himself with an ineffective army just to give the rest of us half a chance. ma erse!

Hunter, not sure the Anglo Dutch pick themselves unless of course you merely copy Richard's list.
Anyway, my Thai are clearly the new uber army.

I have spilled the beans and all it seems to have done is make a mess on the floor.

Re: Britcon 2013
In any case by mentioning Thai, I have given a real clue as to my army choice. This is a clue in the true Ted Roger's 3-2-1 Dusty Bin tradition.
Can Alasdair and yourself just not wait for the Runners and Riders. You are like a dog with a bone. Although seeing your new online name of Rabid dog or whatever I suppose that is natural.

Re: Britcon 2013
Alasdair, my Thai clue is much more complicated than that. Dusty Bin would never get away with applying words to letters. Hunter did that but my clue is much more sophisticated.
Let me help you on the way. If you are having a Thai then you are having a ?

To be blessed with self doubt : that implies tactial and army awareness.... I'm so glad to be free of such pre comp afflictions
Just pick the biggest army with a cover most bases troop type and looks pretty....
