Review can be found at: http://grogheads.com/?p=1652#more-1652

Review is generally favorable aside from the price.

I wonder if, in the future, it might make more business sense to release "Grand Campaign Megapacks" (assuming that there will be others) as stand-alone games, with the game engine included. This would address the complaint raised in this review about the price, and would make the Grand Campaign(s) an equally viable entrée into the world of Panzer Corps. (I actually started with the GC, but it was early on when there were only two or three of them, so the cost of the base game + two expansions was still fairly low.) Hard-core fans like me will still be happy to buy each DLC as it arrives for $5 a pop. I'm not a marketing specialist, and this issue will have no impact on my own consumer behavior. I'm just thinking out loud.

That was a nice review, with some useful gameplay tips in there. Thanks for the link!

It sure would be nice if Slitherine would reduce their prices to be more in line with gamers' expectations. This certainly isn't the only reviewer who deducted a significant number of points based on the expense. A 92 would have encouraged a lot more people to purchase PzC and/or the MC than an 83.

If Slitherine doesn't listen to us on the forum, do they at least listen to reviewers?

I guess we'll find out...

Considering what most reviewers write these days, they'd be the last people I'd listen to.

The pricing is fine as is. Panzer corps is an ivory-coated chess set. I treat & pay for it as such.

Greetings,
I'm considering buying this Grand Campaign Mega Pack.
Question; does it come in a CL version or just a standard DL version?
Would be nice to get a printed manual with the outher goodies.

The boxed version is just a DX version. So no printed manual.
