Hi,
Im playing DLC 39 and I have a stuka who has -5 for defense, -3 for attack and +2 for spotting.
Shouldnt heroes perform better and not the other way?
tks!!

Hello Fedem, this is a very special case indeed, this is a historical hero called Rudel who starts out with some negative bonuses, but if you keep deploying him somewhere in 1941 he becomes a very good hero, so you may want to keep him around. There is a 3-page thread filled with spoilers about this special unit, if you want to get the best out of him I recommend you read through it:Fedem wrote:Hi,

Ain't Rudel "recon" at first?
Re: Do heroes can have Negatives numbers?
For clarification, any hero awarded the normal, randomly assigned way will always have the standard positive one stat attribute bonus. +3 attack, +1 initiative, +1 range, +2 defense, and so on.
Units with heroes that are specially placed, however, can have values well outside of the norm, including negative stats. While Rudel is an extra exceptional case, there will be more such heroes that come with certain negative stats. The escort trucks from DLC 1944 West Cassino have negative movement modifiers, and there are also a few historical Luftwaffe pilots with both positive attack and negative defense values, reflecting the reality that some of these pilots actually did not survive the war.

Re: Do heroes can have Negatives numbers?
This was one major reason I finally wanted to play the GC. But I've been waiting on the patch that seems to be much more major than a simple patch. I had play-tested each of the campaigns but never had a chance to actually just play through them in order. Now that summer holidays are here I'd hoped the patch would have been out.
