I'll be starting to paint mine tonight, so it will be on my blog - is that obvious enough? you could propbably guess it before hand anyway!Anyone else ready to offer up outrageously simple clues about their intentions?

Depends how you define smaller, with 1/2 your battlegroups 2-3 times as large as most battlegroups and grand battlegroups at that athough you might be narrow not sure about small.daveallen wrote:Double entendres from the master, what joy!alasdair2204 wrote: I feel another scarey extremely large Dave Allen army coming out...![]()
Despite Alasdair's lurid imagination, the reality is more prosaic - I suspect that with only 10 BGs I will be fielding one of the smaller armies.

Come on then Hunter give us a clue, especially as its looking like it could be Perthshires yearmarshalney2000 wrote:If I could make up my mind as to what I was using I would only be too happy to give a clue. Unlikely to involve camels though.
Might have a better idea after my game with Hunter Hope tonight. He has definitely made up his mind. He has followed his usual regime of intensive army research before copying someone else's army composition exactly.Aye Tim Porter's site has a lot to answer for!!

So that's the later Jacobite army then with only 4 horse bases allowed. Yet again Simon shows his love for "the Poor Bloody Infantry"!!!
Still should be good against foot armies with the musket*, Impact foot and Swordsman. However if Alasdair has 39 horsey bases that's an army to miss!!!

I quite like the Jacobites and was tempted to take them myself especially if there are a lot of foot based armies out there. Warriors although not having divisional moves can fairly eat up the ground especially non open ground. Really looking forward to seeing the Lurkio Jacobite figures in the flesh so to speak.

Re: Britcon 2013
Interesting Louis XIV French ( I am far to obvious) made the cut down to my last 2 choices
and then would you believe it I flipped a coin, I wasn't bothered either way as both had lots of mounted, lots of dragoons and artillery, French more dragoons and better artillery other list more varieties of horse which one came up tails as basically I couldn't make up my mind, all will be revealed soon (well when a few more lists are in, though to be fair everyone knows whats in the army)
Cheers

Re: Britcon 2013
sugar: I was thinking jacobite for my self as well.... but went for size with scots and protected against mounted... although if i maintain my usual scoring level, i should quite easily avoid alasdiars mounted
although byron might not...

If you want to win Britcon, with 6 games you have to face Alasdair at some point.
