Bug

Post by Kuz »

First let me say this is a fantastic game. My friends and I have really enjoyed it. However, we recently ran into an annoying bug in a TCP/IP game. It was the Axis turn and moved an Italian BB and a corp on a transport into position to take an undefended Beruit. When the turn went back to the Allied player he saw a 1 point Allied corp sitting next to Beruit. So he unloaded the corp into Beruit. However, what the Axis player saw was his Italian corp being moved into Beruit. So all game long both sides have been able to move the same unit in and out of Beruit.

We're both running 104 patch no mods.

This bug could have been caused by an earlier problem, there are some bugs with leader reassign for example in tcpip that will be fixed in next patch. Did anyone of you reassign a leader from a unit?

Two leaders where purchased. Had a French leader in the Maginot and a British leader in Northern France. But none were reassigned after initial placement and none were ever in the Med.

There is a leader purchase bug also in tcpip, happens when u uprchase the "last leader" so if a country has 5 leaders if you purchase the weakest one it will be "number 5" on your machine but "number 1" on opponent machine. It i fixed for next patch. Avoid buying the cheapest leader until then if you are playing tcpip.

I'm sorry I don't understand. What does the leader have to do with a single infantry corp being controlled by both sides?

Do you have a saved game with the bug in - this might help Johan to repeat it.

Another quirk

Post by Kuz »

Situation: The Italian's with serious German support attacked and conquered Egypt. The allies tried to evacuate a sub through the Suez. In the allied turn the sub showed up in the Red Sea ready to go into the West Africa route. However, the allied player forgot to move the sub. The Axis takes the suez. When he was able the Axis player put 3 ships into the north red sea que, and they never came out. The one sub effectively blocked all access out of the Suez. Is this a WAD? If so the other player needs some kind of warning stating that the straights are blocked, or at least a way for him to get his fleet out of limbo.
