Mikes Models

Post by sijeet »

I've got a small Mikes Models mid imperial Roman / Palmyran army. I need to augment it for FOG. If any one had some Old Mikes Models please contact me. However the real point of this post is what modern ranges are compatible with Mikes Models? For those to young to appreciate them the figures are smallish for 15mm, not anatomically correct but possess huge charm. From what I've seen Chariot miniatures sold by Magister Militum are my best bet. Any thoughts?

There is a Mike's Models Yahoo group (Fans_of_Mikes_Models_15s) members of whom sometimes have some for sale, you could try there. I have heard that Essex do have some of the original molds and will cast figures to order but I have no personal experience of that. I tend to pick up MMs when I can to augment my armies but they are 1300s onwards so can't help with the Roman specific part of the question.

Essex do indeed have some of the Mikes Models moulds and will cast to order, a service I used a couple of years ago to upgrade my Renaissance armies to FOGR. But Renaissance is all there is, no ancients. If I remember correctly they do early C16th, ECW/TYW, Ottomans and Moghuls.
The Yahoo group is your best chance, someone just posted on there about some MM figures he wants to sell.
