MELEE 2013- Western Sydney Comp

WHEN: Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of June (ie first two days of long weekend). Be there at 8.30 for a 9 o'clock start.

WHERE: Unlimited Hobbies Blacktown ( 2/94 Kildare Rd Blacktown ,less than 5 minutes drive from Blacktown Station).

WHAT: FOG V2, 800 points, open list, 6x4 tables, bring your terrain as it will not be pre-set. 2 rounds a day, each will be approximately 3 1/2 hours.

COST: $20 to be paid at the event.

Cold drinks are available at the venue and there is a large pub with bistro across the road (The Sportsmans Hotel).

Will be there Marty. Have to look at bringing something new - am painting Early Crusaders (or Later Crusaders if they are better!) so they could be a chance.

See if you can persuade some the other fine Novacastrian gents to make the trip.

Just a reminder gents. It is now only a couple of weeks away. Numbers are looking good but it would be great if those coming could send in a list to be checked.

Hi Martin

If you are running this as a "competitive" event, Martin Wirt in Germany would be keen to get the results for entry into the ELO database please. He tells me that apart from Cancon there haven't been very many new comps from Oz added in recent times. For your consideration please.

We didn't send in the results last year as we were not using the standard 25-0 scoring.

This year we are and the results will be submitted.

Numbers are looking good and I have already seen an interesting variety of lists.

Good comp - aout 13 players and a hug variety of armies.

Results were

I think I was 4th - marty and I were battling for 3rd place (or maybe even 2nd) and it came down to the last fight to resolve the winner (marty had Warring States and I had Early Crusade) - each had LH bow, shield so even fight - unfortunately the Turcopoles didn't come up trumps. I also had an armoured knight unit charging and breaking off from a 8 bG of imoact foot / CB MF - eventually my knights reduced to 1 base!

May be see if I can get to Britcon.
