Well Im being shipped away back to the eastern front  atleast I'm used to the winter..... (I am Yet to know I will be with the 6th Army at Stalingrad. Even though I am shot in early October by a Sniper I spend most of 1943 in a hospital in Munich. As I return I'm given command of a little city called Caen. Lets hope June is a good month for the German army.)

Btw anyway to turn vechicles around? I landed a flamer but its backside was facing a 105MM. Long story short 1 less flamer for the Allies :(

And another thing me and Morge just started a Dieppe game. I was able to get every unit to the beach with all the open space allotted. The trucks have nothing in them :( so there is really no need for them anymore. Perhaps this can be changed for a better chance of an allied victory? In next update Germans need less breathing space. Or Everyman in Dieppe will be waiting for the Allies on the Cliffs.

Aug 19,1942 after Lt Colonel LandMarine47 is sacked and sent to the Eastern Front German Scouts enter Dieppe only to find it abandoned. The Radar Station is in Shambles and a Important Military Hotel by the Coast has been vandalized. The beach is covered with bodies the stench is unbearable as husks of both Allied and German Forces are found. Upon searching a beached Destroyer it contains a note Signed by Brigader General Gottalove88's that said that the Dieppe raid was going well many Germans Routing reinforcements smashed await fire orders. They radioed High Command that it was a raid not an Invasion. Citizens are interrogated stating that the Allies only searched Military Targets then packed up and left. A note is left in the Casino. A translation between Lt Col LandMarine47 and BG Gottalove88's! Translators were righting down the conversation and it says these words
GL88's: We told you Dieppe was possible!
LM: Hitler will not be pleased when he finds out I let an Invasion happen. Ill be lucky if I'm not executed. The will probably send me to Russia where ill spend the rest of the war cleaning up Cow S**t. But to hell with him anyways. How's about a drink to the Allied Victory!
GL88's Hehe your an upbeat German. I thought you'd tell me to go burn in Hell. I think I'll take up your offer
The scout throws the note into the port knowing that if the Allies could pull this off they are going to win the war. Under his breath he wishes LandMarine good luck for he is going to need it.

I noticed a possible bug. When, within a turn, an enemy unit fires (or indeed for example fires a smoke round which passes over the top of an allied unit) I see a flash of the hidden unit.

Hey Gilles, How close was your closest unit to the firing enemy unit? BA's default line of sight rules/animations permit fairly close units to see when an enemy unit fires a mortar/bombardment... Often it's the only way to discover enemy mortars... by gradually sneaking infantry forwards, until you see firing flashes from the little buggers...

Lol... Very cute!... Oberstleutnant LandMarine receives a secret message, via the French Resistance, before his train leaves for the Eastern Front... He is very welcome in a comfortable POW camp for defectors at the English southcoast resort of Brighton... where there will be many beautiful women in bikinis to look after him...
(Or is this propaganda? ;-))

Hehe I deny for I would rather clean up cow droppings then be treated like a baby where the weak reside. My men only surrender when their will has been shattered by combat. Those guys surrendered before the first shot was fired :x but after this war is over and saying the Soviets or the Germans don't kill me I think I'll pay them a visit. Besides I have a summer home in Dieppe 8) I might return to it (hopefully you didn't destroy it :x)

Thanks Gilles... To be honest, I still haven't figured out the exact rules for detecting firing enemy mortars, but I've certainly been able to see 'em from 3 squares away, sometimes... So it sounds like it's just the game engine letting you see/hear your enemy, when you're close enough...

An incredibly hard fought victory using the Blue Beach Tactic. Along with a new bizarre tactic. The enemy convoy was going to give my destroyers position away so using the worthless Landing craft I created a "seablock" the only way he's going to get through is to sink it with 152 Bombards are go through his own mines. And that's just the LCT's a have a wave of LCA's to replace the LCT's. :D

I've noticed that its very hard for tanks to travel around the map. Can we give them the ability to move faster on roads? It would benefit both sides giving the Germans time to get tanks to the frontline quicker and the Allies time to get the Troops to their objectives (if your attacking blue or white beach your going to lose lots of tanks but get behind the guns quick!)

Btw are you over the 64 limit on allies? Because some Bren Carriers (like in one of the LCAs in the real photos) would be welcome :) 2 LCA's with Bren Carriers in them?

Hey Gents, Heads up on some destroyer updates coming down the line... I thought you might like to check out the warships that Amaris & I have been working on... They're for a new Guadalcanal campaign, but the destroyer (the middle one) is perfect for Dieppe too... viewtopic.php?f=104&t=43500&p=412042#p412042

As the battle nears its epic climax the Germans are on the Run in Dieppe. Only 1 final defense remains between the Canadians and ultimate victory in Dieppe. The (now) heavily fortified Casino on the Coast. All other Objectives such as the HQ the Battery and the Port and City Center are controlled by Canadian Troops. Recon flights show 2 MG 42 Squads and a Sniper Team. B-17s Bomb the Area but instead make more cover for the MG 42's. Will the Canadians capture the Hotel and Casino or will the Germans Counter attack and destroy the remaining Canadians? (Screenshots later)

Agostino626. An epic battle so far instead of holding me on the beach he continued to retreat and make back lines. (Smart move out of range of the Destroyers) as I attempted to move into the port 1 by 1 the 152's gun them down :(. But the Rangers prove their worth and hunt down the Panzers 1 by 1 until they are finally gunned down near the HQ. My men are very undermanned but the 152s can't turn around. But scouts will be crucial in the final battle. I'm certain that once the Casino Falls so will Dieppe. But there is a problem. The scouts are too far away to make a difference (Radar Station) so I will need to Reilly on Air Support. (BTW I really hope he doesn't read this its useful intel you know )

BTW what is IN those walls? A thousand pound Bomb only made a hole inside of it! Whatever is in those walls it's perfect for Bunkers! That Casino will be a tough nut to crack without Recon but the Allies will Prevail! Those MG 42's will be reinforced with Infantry I just know it and the Mortars are just got off the Beach. At this point I'm just going to bomb the crap out of the hotel

This reminds me of Call Of Duty Finest Hour. I can still remember the words before you storm the Castle. "Once this Castle falls so will Aachen" same thing here I doubt he has anything left other than that (scary) Chateau but I can just bypass that.
