Posted a challenge for Ulysisgrunt from the Greek defenders of area 61, password "pontoon". It's a 500 point game but I've only bought 400 points of Achaian Greeks.

Considering how many times I've played you over the years and the number of times I have beaten you, I am still not overly optimistic.

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Neil, an army of desperate Greeks stand ready to host your host - I think you need to set up the challenge as mine is the smaller army.

The Pontine army crushed the Greek settlements in area 61...next stop area 51?
Our army was large enough to turn both flanks of the Greeks, while our pikemen were sacrificed in the center.

The Roman Senate gasps a sigh of relief as the Carthaginian Army is pushed
back to the sea whence it came . In a close battle with many a Roman perished
over the last 2 days , Rome can count its lucky stars that its nots part of Africa today.

Very close battle , the Romans managed to get there in the end , but it wasn't looking good
most of the way for them.

The Carthaginian War Leader was seen fleeing from the battlefield but alive.

iandavidsmith (Roman) 35/40 win
vrs
Greetings44 (Carthage) 45/40 loss

Great game , Ian

The Seleucid's wayward governor has driven off the Seleucid reoccupation forces in a bloody encounter, using underhanded means.

The Greeks were no match for Pharaoh and his army.

Ptolemaic Egypt 29/43
Greeks 36/33

Thanks Jonah, +100 points is a lot to give away.

Ptolemy risked all, deep in the push of pike. There is no dishonour to lose to a war leader such as he.

batesmotel (Seleucid) 24/31
ulysisgrunt (Pontic) 37/36

The Pontic forces all clustered on a hill in one corner of their set on and forced the Seleucids to assault their fortress. After a long uphill battle using missile fire and then charging in, the Seleucids manage to collapse the Pontic right flank before the Armenian cataphracts and thureophoroi in reserve could come out and destroy the Seleucid right flank. Thanks for a good game.

Turk (Greeks) 37/37
Greetings (More Greeks) 26/38

Minor city state 63 remains independent. 50 points head start, the terrain in my favour and Turk had an atrocious run of bad luck on the dice which saw his Elite Phalangites evapourate.

Cheers
