As gauls (celts) you'll be fighting against:

-Other gauls
-Greeks
-more gauls
-more greeks
-romans

Greeks have hoplites and so, the unit graphics are heavy-infantry bu I believe they have special stats.

As romans:

- etruscians (sorry, don't know the english name), latin tribes...
- greeks
- cartaghinians (with elephants)
- gauls
- romans (civil war)

same for units: same graphics, special stats (I think)
Don't know if that's the information you asked for, though...

Lots of different enemies, at different strengths as well - before charging into combat, check the level of the opposing units, it does matter.

Thanks for the response guys also may you tell me how well the mutliplayer aspect works out for instance rtw has some problems with only the elite units being to strong and so you see alot of heavy elite armies ratehr then mixed types is the same done here our much better planned out?

There is quite a lot of deception about the strength of units. You can level up units using the XP points but its also possible to pay for armour and weapon etc upgrades which are not revealed to your opponent. Terrain plays a big part and also battle formation effect the damage you inflict or receive.

It is a real scissors paper stone balance. So as you would expect the Heavy infantry who are levelled uo and fighting in an offensive formation will still do very well in the open, but more fool you if you get caught fighting them with weaker troops in that situation.

Your battle plan is the final ingredient.

Having said all this elephants are very powerful if they are fighting in open terrain, but they are very expensive, and can by dealt with by light infantry units at quarter the price if you give them anti elephant skills.

The permutations are vast.
