Deeter and Iandavidsmith,
OK, girls, I've got my dance card cleared to a manageable state.
I have two challenges up just for you. Password is "texas".

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
Ok we were supposed to end the first round this weekend but this is what i reckon what everyone has played:
ian 4/7
ulyssisgrunt 5/7
deeter 2/7
batesmotel 5/7
kmaher 6/7
fogman 5/7
flatsix 3/7
bagration 0/7
I'm leaving for a long vacation in 3 weeks and a longer vacation from fog to make way for other things so i want to get this done and over with. This is what we're going to do:
1) people can start their mirror games now, even if it means you are playing both games simultaneously.
2) anyone can initiate the remaining games.
basically do as much as you can.

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
Chris,
I have to apologize. In my enthusiasm to move on from LoEG, I didn't realize how many games I committing to play.
I have two on-going LoEG games plus two more to play.
I have an on-going game in RoR KO, and the way it's going, it'll be my last in that tournament.
I should be able to pick up play on the four I have going in Lords this week. And be into my final seven early in July.
I too, am planning a break from FoG after this...

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
Syrians eventually manage to record a victory!
Kmaher (Syrians) 24/37 bt bagration1812 (Turks) 41/34
I got lucky when the Turkish C-in-C fell early after winning a battle and with a number of rolls going against bagration I was able to exploit the Turkish flanks to run out a relatively comfortable victor. Thanks for the game.
I've now finished all my round one games. I'll look to set up some round 2 mirror challenges in the next day or so.

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
Bagration Turks v. Ulysisgrunt Kom Byz
Turks win 16/34 to 34/34.
Turks hid like school girls on top of a steep hill from the big, bad knights. Eventually, the mullah was able to turn a flank and release the horse to scatter the Byz supports.
Thanks for the game.
I've done turns in all my games and will do more tonite. Apologies to all my opponents. My frustration with LoEG and the drama therein has dampened my enthusiasm for FoG overall. The current LoEG season is nearly over and I will make a better effort to stay on top of these games. Apology in particular to Fogman, after running a division in LoEG this season I understand your frustration with slow play very well.
Cheers -

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
I have PMed a reminder to Bagration. I don't see a challenge from Mr. Grunt. Perhaps he could repost it?

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
All,
I am going to have to take a break from playing FoG for awhile.
I apologize to everyone participating in this tournament and to the opponents in the games I resigned.
Best,

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
Deeter (Crusaders) 42/39
batesmotel (Komnenan Byzantine) 20/39
The terrain favored the Byzantines with the Crusaders having to fight uphill into the Byzantines. Thanks for a good game.

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
iandavidsmith: (Fatimid Eygptian ) 27/38 win
vrs
Bagration (Turks) - 34/34 loss
The battle wasn't going well to a point where
a last minute virginal sacrifice to the dice gods
enable a huge comeback by the Egyptians.
Thanks for the game.

Re: LORDS OF THE HOLY LAND circa 1100 AD
iandavidsmith (Komnenan Byzantine) 33/33
batesmotel (Fatimids) 29/40
More numerous Fatimid infantry and overall numbers combined with the Fatimids turning the Byzantine left flank in bad terrain faster than the Byzantines could turn the Fatimid left flank in similar terrain decided this although some late game Byzantine luck prolonged their misery. Thanks for the game.
