What colours do I use?

What colours do I use?

I bought some Russian spearmen for my Late Medieval German army (wanted some variety and thought the HRE could have had some slavs).

The other battle group is in red and black (proper German figures).

The figures in question are Essex EMED30.
Question is what colours do you think I should paint the Russians in?

Dark Green is a good Russian color and not excessively ahistorical.

You could certainly have lots of green with some red and yellow. Make sure you have at least one figure with a hammer and another with a sickle.

I think that Martin from Vexillia has some early Russians but I cannot find the pictures on his website. Look for Vexillia or The Waving Flag.
