New equipment?

Post by LandMarine47 »

I've noticed when you make a unit surrender why can't you have the option to take their weapons? I would LOVE to get my hand on an 88 or a Mortar... And I've noticed can in fact you and your enemies load out change. Exp. in 1941 most German Infantry had Rifles as did the Soviets. As the war progress the Germans and soviets began to upgrade to semi and fully automatic firearms (SVT PPSH STG 44 Gherwer Semi Auto). Can we see this change with units? And tanks instead of always being destroyed when a shot hits there's a chance that a part will be hit. These are what I had in mind Main Gun, Machine Gun, engine, turret and even tracks. (Difference between engine and track damage engine takes longer to repair) when hit the crew will need some turns uninterrupted to fix the tank. The enemy can still destroy it thought so watch out! And soviet T-34's would "Ram" enemy panthers and disable the the tank. If this is done both tanks will lose their guns and tracks. But your tank can be deatroyed/suppressed on the way there by the tank it's aiming for and others. So the next time you se a KT by itself you know what to do

In reality it took training and time to integrate captured equipment in to your force. Very rarely were captured guns put immediately in to action against the enemy, so to allow it would be a bit unrealistic really.

Having late war infantry with different stats is definitely possible.
