V1.1 seems to work really well, so far... So I'm hoping any extra changes will be mostly cosmetic...

Are you coming back to play?

Just out of curiosity, what happens if there is no free square for the infantryman to unload into? Does it stay on the tank? Or is it lost?

It's lost (Happened to me when I was on a cliff and an arty barrage blocked my tank with another tank behind it)

Hey LM, Did you resign your game where you were Allies? What you quit for? I was impressed you'd landed 3-4 tanks down and a heck load of infantry. And scored your 2nd flag! Nice 8)

Because I'd pulled so many men forwards to spot from the beach, the bunkers and houses behind were pretty much empty. 2 of the 4 coastal guns on your landing side couldn't turn to face your tanks, because you'd moved so far inland, so fast... Have you been in France too long? Definitely a premature surrender, mon ami... You could have walked into town and been drinking cafe au lait before my krauts had finished singing Deustschland, Deutschland... Phew. Lucky break for me!!

Btw, if you & Ranger knock up an 'Allied Easy' version to partner the regular version (which I'd totally encourage you to do, to help newbie players get used to conducting complex combined ops landings versus organised opposition), with some of the mods you've asked for... eg. Less/weaker coastal guns, Less or even zero freighters and Kriegsmarine... then I'd strongly plea for you to consider less effective Luftwaffe too please...

I caaan't believe what just happened in our other game with me as Allies, lol. I'd successfully (hugely luckily) landed the entire Allied Dieppe force across two beaches, more or less unopposed. Coastal guns no problem. Ate one for tea! ... But then a swift one-two, from your He111 and Stuka raids, killed 5 (previously fully healthy) units outright... and then suppressed 4 more so that your German tanks (which would otherwise have been shot back at in force) could kill 2 more units... 7 units lost to airstrikes in one turn, Ouch!!... So, when you make your 'Allied Easy' version, definitely make it easier to evade the Luftwaffe too... I certainly need it... so I'm sure others would appreciate it too... :D

I surrendered because on Blue Beach I had lost all opposition and even if I continued my advance your men would have re organized and destroyed what remained of the Landing force and without my destroyers to support continuing would be a lost cause :( saved lots of lives (I was also mad the Rangers LCA broke down a square away from the beach and was destroyed )

Would've been a lot harder for me to reorg than u think... Only had 3 actual infantry anywhere near u... Not much between your grunts and the 152mm's u could have taken out... Esp as 2 couldn't even turn to face ur landing force...

I'd guessed wrong. So pretty much everything else had been deployed on the wrong beach. I suspect u could have cleaned up, and been prepped into a strong defence, before my relief force could reach u...

Promising start nicely done, LM!

Like I said... Nicely done, LM!

Things to add for the 'Allied Easy' version you & Ranger are working on...

1. Fewer/less effective coastal guns
2. Fewer or even zero German freighters and navy
3. Remove one of either He111, Stuka or Fw190... Maybe make others less powerful? Or recharge less frequently?

The easier we can make this for new Allied players, the quicker folks will gain confidence to try to develop strategies that succeed on the regular version...

I think everyone will be happy with the removal of the Convoy. I'm real life do you really think the crew of these slow ships would would break course much less head toward a assault fleet? As for air support get rid of the Arty or make it 3 turns to impact. FW's should be 2 turns and HE111 3 turns. So the Allies don't get destroyed and the compact beachheads. (Like I did to you GL88's ) And the coastal gun bombards should be 2 Turns to reload. (Are they? Mine are 1 turn or I just forgot a turn lol)
As for when you asked "what player are you?" My Strategy is to attack 2 Beaches and I take a LONG time in deployment because I make sure my men are equally divided with the equal amount of support. So I can take my Objectives faster but it is harder considering less manpower.

Agreed. You should add it all to your 'Allied Easy' version...
Remove or soften anything you want to, that helps the German side in the regular version...
Experiment. Test it out with Ranger...
When you're both satisfied it's easy enough for Allies, but Germans won't always lose, let's add it to the Dieppe campaign
(To offer different difficulty levels, like Fast n Sneaky)
