Allied Corps saved games missing

I've been having a ball chewing my way through the desert while playing Allied Corps and this morning for some odd reason my saved games are missing. I launch the Allied Corps shortcut from my desktop (like I always do) and select "load game" and the list of saved games that are available are from my Panzer Corps Grand Campaign battles. It acts like I accidentally launched Panzer Corps. But I haven't, I've checked countless times. Oddly enough, when I launch my Panzer Corps shortcut and click "load game" it gives me the exact same saved games. Any ideas as to what's going on?

The save games for the Grand Campaign and all the other campaigns, including Allied Corps, get saved in the same directory so no wonder you get the shown the same games. This is normal behavior.

As to the question where you saved games from Allied Corps are gone that's another topic. Check the list of saved games maybe somehow just the order they get listed in got somehow changed and your Allied Corps save games are somewhere down the list. If not you can have a look manually at the save game directory to see if your saves are there (assuming you remember their name). Panzer Corps saves all the save files by default in: "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\my games\Panzer Corps\Save" You need to replace the <username> with your actual user name at the computer.

If they aren't there then they must have been somehow deleted. Considering you have still some old save game maybe you reverted your computer to a previous state and overwrote the save games with an earlier save? Did you use lately windows system recovery or another backup software to revert your computer to a previous state?

Thanks for the reply and the suggestions. I'm not going to rule out some kind of user error, but I've done nothing to my computer. No recoveries, no backups, nothing unusual. It's possible I might have unknowingly altered something. I checked the saved game files and none of my AC saved games are there. I think I had 7-8 saved AC games and they are gone. I'll keep digging around. Thanks for the help

Did you play those 8 saved scenarios in a row or were you previously able to load them?

The saved games were places that were giving me a hard time in a particular scenario. Some of the saved games I reloaded multiple times. Two of the files were the default games that are saved at the beginning of each turn, one for Allied, one for Axis.

Well the default games can't really be missing... if the autosaves are gone I'm pretty sure you somehow deleted them by accident. But... I'm not ruling anything out yet since I haven't bought AC yet so I don't know whether it has any bugs. But save games missing would be a very unusual bug indeed.

If it's a bug then only one that occurs only under very special and rare circumstances. I am saving always at the begin of every scenario and i never had any game missing and no one else was complaining about this yet here. I keep a close eye on my save games to test it.

The game don't erase any save games. Are you sure that you haven't played using from another Windows account?

The Allied Corps autosaves are missing as well as the 3 or 4 saved games I created. I have 4 saved games from my Panzer Corps Mega Campaign and they are still there. At this point I started over and I'm blaming it on a user generated brain fart. I moved a bunch of music files that night and I must have clicked something I shouldn't have. My first computer was a 486 sx66, so you would think I would know how to move files around after 19 years of practice. Thanks for all the feedback and ideas.
