steppes

im pointing up a ancient mongol army and notced that there terrian type is steppes. ive looked through the rule book but carnt find any disciption of this terrian type anyone help??

If you mean for modelling purposes it's the wide open plains of central asia. Essentially a sea of grass - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steppes

In terms of it's depiction in the game, like all terrain types that's listed in the appendices. In general, steppe is the most open type. There's not much terrain available and what there is isn't that nasty. Perfect for the sweeping cavalry manouvres of a mongol army!

It is what of the region types from which terrain is selected from. i.e. Agricultural, Developed, mountains...Steppe.

Grandad, in case you haven't found the answer yet, page 147 in V.2 has a table of the terrain allowed for each territory type (i.e. Steppes) and page 139 gives a description of the terrain abbreviations for modelling purposes. And 139 gives a description of the visibility restrictions for each terrain type.
