Lafeyette I am here on Allied side, deputy commander JCB reporting as ordered to Supreme Command, I am available for routine service just shy of top command.

When the Rommel Expansion comes out are we going to upgrade the German Troops with sleek Jagdpanthers and AT Halftracks. Perhaps replace VolksGrenadiers with Osttroopen troops?

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring on the side of the Allies.
I'm also willing to volunteer as a 2nd or 3rd GM if GottaLove88s/et al is/are willing to point me in the right direction etc.

Let me know what I need to do to move forward if there's still room and/or need etc.

Cheers,

Thomas

Hey Ranger!

EXCELLENT to have you involved in GJS'44... You've been making fabulous contributions to Dieppe, so I know you know your stuff, play brilliantly and are a gentlemen (albeit a cunning one! ;-)) in battle and on the forum... We're lucky to have you! :D

You're badly needed on the Allied side. At the moment only Jcb989 & Hidde have responded to the roll call, so they're lacking players and command cohesion (I think the Allied commander, JonCorcuera, has been tied up with RL... Might even be a job there, possibly? Worth PM'ing Jon?)

Good to have you involved in GM'ing too. Between you, me & P-A (CaveHobbit... who is getting good at map development!), we should have this licked...

Welcome!

Ranger, I've subscribed you to the Allied side in Tournaments & Leagues, so you can privately post your team mates...

It's worth taking a look at the end June 10th Strat Map and figuring out the best Allied moves for June 11th...

Post any questions here... All of us will help you get up to speed!

Why aren't their Stukas alongside the FW's? I'm sure the Germans had some Stukas lying around during GJS 44. It would be a great counter to the Allied overpowered Typhoons and Artillery Barrages. (Once again the AA guns screw me over having a Typhoon fly DIRECTLY over a WirbelWind and destroy an MG 42)

I was also thinking when there is a major offensive we should give it an Operation Name  when the battles begin lets say oh I don't know "Operation Lightning Bolt is a go" :D

I don't think there were any Stukas in Normandy June 44. Stukas needed German air superiority in order to survive. As it was, the Allies had air superiority and slow flying stukas would have been easy targets for any Allied fighter (and/or AA fire).
It's my understanding that they were used on the Eastern Front up to 1945 because air superiority was much more ambiguous there.

cheers,

Thomas

Thank you for your kind words. I hope I have continued success in concealing from you, and everyone else here, that I am, in fact, an absolute bastard.
Thanks go to you and LM for being so encouraging and welcoming.

Where can I find the "end June 10th Strat Map"?

I've found some maps but I'm not sure if I found the one you mean.

Here -> viewtopic.php?f=87&t=38844&start=1560#p406441
It also shows the arriving BGs for June 11th...

Suggest you PM joncorcuera (Allied CO) offering to help with the strategic stuff... He sounded busy last time we swapped messages, so I know he'd appreciate your input! ;-)
