I've already been doing that from the start. The first post has always had the newest version.Uhu wrote:Thank you if you have the time and energy for that.
A little suggestion: it is useful if you always upload the latest version to your first post than it is easy everybody to find the actual version.

Re: Dossier Tool
UPDATE: Download Version v1.0.4886.11398 here
Edit: @Uhu: The tool now supports all nations the game has. If Allied Corps adds new nations I will have to update it however. but all nations that exist so far are supported. And as I mentioned, any equipment file you copy into the tool's data folder will be used by it.
Edit2: That new stats screen is not finished btw. I'll add pretty much all units stats to it so you can sort your units by any stat. E.g. sort all units by soft attack and crap like that. Btw if you want to sort by more than one column, like first by unit type then by experience, click the first column to sort by first, then hold shift while clicking consecutive columns to keep the initial sorting as primary.

Thank you very much nice work!
What I found that at the units/stats window only in the first row are values (cost, max strenght, max fuel, max ammo), all others have zero as value.
Oh, and could you please change the Hungarian flag for the one which has the symbol in ith (it's like the Italian flag)?

Can you give me a screenshot of this and the equipment file you're using?Uhu wrote:Thank you very much nice work!

Re: Dossier Tool
Very handy tool. I'm using it for my current DLC campaing.
It would be nice if you could extend the hero bonus list so it could be possible to select +2 and +3 for movement/spotting/range to handle cases like these:

- Heroes modified:
Code: Select all
Heroes are now loaded from DossierTool\Content\Data\heroes.xml
This file is a standard xml file and can be modified to add arbitrary heroes which the tool then displays.
Friedrich Pein and Walter Nowotny have been added as examples on how to do this.
The xml file is part of the latest version.
Re: Dossier Tool
Thanks so much! That's just what i needed!!!
And the unit stats tab is probably the most handy feature by far. No more excel or a mess of sheets on the desk!
More on my wishlist:
1. About Unit Stats Table:
- Show bonused stats in green/red (as it's in the individual unit profile).
- Keep the current/custom layout when you save the dossier.
2. Possibility to select multiple units then add a scenario report for all them with one click/action.
It's tedious having to go the entire core one by one adding the report for every new scenario (especially when you've already spent a good amount of time
updating the units at the finish of the last one).

Re: Dossier Tool
The second point has already been in the tool for quite a while. Go to scenario reports (the global one), enter your report, then there's a button "generate report" which will open a tree view where you can select all units you want to generate that report for. All those reports will have been pre-filled with the data of the previous report and with the scenario name already added. So you then just need to step through the units and change the data that actually changed.
Re: Dossier Tool
Right. I was misled on the Generate Unit Reports functionality

Re: Dossier Tool
Just a quick update. my intention for a followup version is to include the experience of units to calculate their real stats. So the attack and initiative etc values will be displayed as what they are including the exp bonuses. I'll probably offer an option to display that both for old and new rules I guess. We'll see. I cannot give and timeline for this, again sorry for this. But I wanted to let you know that this is already on my roadmap. I'm also planning to extend the statistics a bit (ideas for that are welcome) and create an additional tab for the units which shows the unit history in terms of receiving new heroes, new equipment and medals. Maybe a scenario history screen which shows that per scenario the unit took part in and shows kills, losses, exp gained/lost, heroes, medals and upgrades. We'll see

Re: Dossier Tool
That's great news and I really like the idea of a history screen. What I'd really like to see being able to compare two different dossiers, so depending on ones core setup. That would allow players to judge their own skill a bit, since you could compare the prestige gain, losses etc.

Re: Dossier Tool
In the long run I'll try to allow multi document view, like in Word/PhotoShop any other application that can open more than one document at a time.
But one thing after another

Re: Dossier Tool
Next update will also have all the new medals btw. I might put those in an xml file too so you can add medals in case you play any mods.

Re: Dossier Tool
A quick update and explanation why this takes so long. Aside from the usual excuses
I finally decided to go ahead and do the redesign of the inner architecture of the tool as well as its outer look.
The result will be a more professional look, dialogs which make sure you don't close a changed dossier and stuff like that.
Aside from that the tool will go ahead and load the awards, their names and experience bonus form the game internal award.pzdat, strings.pzdat and exp.pzdat and will therefore be up to date on those if anything changes. No more need to manually add anything there or wait for an update by me.
Additionally the unit stats screen now displays not only the equipment but also the land transport (if present) with its stats and of course both are color highlighted if either experience or hero has influenced the stats.
I'll still need some time to complete all this, but I hope you will like the result.

Re: Dossier Tool
Further release of the tool is on ice until I get an answer from the devs how the transports work in allied corps. I have no idea how to determine the available transports right now without messing things up.

While you're waiting for me to get that information, here a few teasers:
