Pandora Minor Bugs:Missing Mouse Clicks, etc.

Post by Earthmichael »

Some Pandora minor bugs:

1. Pandora occasionally misses mouse clicks. This can be annoying, because you are waiting for the game to respond, and nothing happens. Usually another click will move things along. This happens most often when clicking inside the city management screen to move to the next city, or when hitting end turn, but it occasionally happens for movement orders as well.

2. The game is sometimes sluggish, even though I have a i5 processor and a pretty good NVIDIA graphics card. SUGGESTION: Give a graphic option for the player to turn off “eyecandies”. I could live without moving clouds and rippling water if it means I get better game performance!

3. The diplomacy is often nonsensical. Having a faction give me a gift of credits while we are at war is a bug. I could see offering some credits if I agree to peace, but not an outright gift. Also, a faction dropping a non-aggression pact (or trade or research treaties for that matter) when my faction is much stronger than they are is idiotic.

We have been complaining about diplomacy since the beginning of the beta test. The developers have indicated that they are working on improving the system, just haven't done any major changes yet. There have been some minor tweeks to diplomacy, but nothing major yet. Several other playtesters have offered some excellent suggestions on how to improve diplomacy and I hope they will take them into account when the make changes.
