As already mentioned by multiple users in this thread there is a bug with the advanced options in patch 1.20.
While they work fine for the vanilla campaign, Afrika Corps campaign and the Allied Corps Campaign they seems to have no effect at all in any of the DLC campaigns. I tested "reform units" and "dice" so far only but it looks to me like all of them have no effect.

Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20
I think the solution is, that in the "DLC-Folder" there are 10 "GC-Subfolder", and in each of them is an own "gamerules.pzdat" in the "data" Folder! And in all of these gamerules.pzdat Files there are no entries from the new feature as in gamerules File in Main-Menu!
These entries are missing in all gamerules files from DLC´s:

Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20
Should the gamerules files from AC or 1.20 copied to ALL DLC folders?
BOTH - if the 1.14 ruleset option will be used
OR EASIER: delete the gamerules file from the DLC folder. But I did not checked this. And you will lose the experience cap.

Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20
I tested it out and by doing what you suggest (both is working either copying the gamerules.pzdat file into the DLC folders or deleting it there) you can play the DLC with the new 1.20 rules albeit as you said you are losing the DLC specific settings but it doesn't make the advanced options work. Selecting "dice" or "reform units" has no effect. Of course the functions are still available via cheat but then you need to remember to turn it every time on again.

As "first Aid" maybe!fsx wrote:OR EASIER: delete the gamerules file from the DLC folder.
But the problem (and the difference between gamerule File in Main-Menu and DLC´s) is, that the amount for the needed kills to become a hero are in the gamerule File from GC-Folders is higher than in gamerule file in main-menu (folder "data")!

Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20
I just did copy the gamerules.pzdat into the GC39 folder and tested it starting a new campaign. The chess option def. seems to work that way.
Re: Advanced Options bug in 1.20
Well I copied the file to DLC45 directory, and edited the required rate of kills for a hero to the DLC setting. Everything seems to work now with 1.20 rules, reformed units also appear on next scenario.
Is there any other setting wich I need to change besides the hero range?

You folks might wanna look into using some sort of a txt file compare tool, like winmerge or something, it will tell you what lines are unique in two files so you can combine the two...

Yes, I use "WinMerge", is highly recommended!Radoye wrote:You folks might wanna look into using some sort of a txt file compare tool, like winmerge or something, it will tell you what lines are unique in two files so you can combine the two...
