Jon, it's very nice of you to keep GM'ing even if you don't have time! Thanks!

And I think we are ok with simpler maps, as long as we can keep GJS'44 going.

If the ceasefire in Caen ended with 4 German units lost, the map would end up like this for June 10th?

Hey Jcb, Is that ceasefire confirmed by both sides?
Yes. Mlazar offered and I agreed. I exited the turn back to him before I could remember what the 4th unit is lol.
Hopefully he sees this post soon or plays another turn so I can recheck it. I'll also PM him.

I've discovered the 4th unit was a vehicle in the "halftrack" category.

Gents, While we're waiting for orders from both Commanders, LandMarine just reminded me that today is June 4th...

Eh? So what you might ask?

Well, June 4th is the day before June 5th... which is the day that had originally been planned for D-Day... before Eisenhower declared a 24 hour delay and a final "Ok, we'll go" for June 6th 1944...

In 48 hours, it will be 69 years after the commencement of Operation Overlord... Worth remembering and saying a silent 'thank you' to the many brave guys, and a few courageous girls, who put their lives on the line so that folks like you and me wouldn't have to experience a world suffering Nazi (or Imperial Japanese) tyranny...

It's a very prestigious event for me because I'm off to Normandy tomorrow. Ill be watching then participating in some re-enactments of both the Landing and the Airborne Drops. (I'm squad leader for a group of 5 101st Troops) when I come back I will share my knowledge of the GJS. But I'll mainly stick to the Americans for my trip but won't forget about those brave British who got the harder fight considering Germans Armor was facing their sector of the Invasion. Caen was so very bloody as well..... While we "Yanks" got the harder time at the beaches and in the Hedgerows.

I'm in a French Internet Cafe. Relatively Warm Welcome in Cherbourg. Now we begin the long drive to Carentan. And yes I'm a squad leader in the 101st Airborne :) I'll bring some photos.
