Britcon deployment aera question

Post by LEmpereur »

On topic : viewtopic.php?f=43&t=42670, Phil write"Set up rules were as written in the rules." this includes all the deployment rules ?"

So battle troops can be deployed up to 12 inches and light troops to 15 inchs ? 8)

Is this correct ?

We think so because "Phil is correct"!

Yes, we will be playing the rules as written even on the smaller tables.

It might be helpful if there was a summary of the impact of the smaller table prior to the event?

EG - central zone is only 20". Terrain must be 12" or less in diameter to fit on a roll of 5 or 6. I'm sure there will be others?

Actually, terrain can be no more than 12 MU across its short axis. It can still be 16 MU across its long axis.

OK, here is a plan one half of the smaller table showing where all these bits are. The bottom of the plan would be your long side. Your opponent's side of the table would be a mirror image of this.

Mr R had best get some new terrain then as his 12" pieces won't fit their short or long axis in there

When you say berate, i presume you mean bamboozle. In any case i can find no flaws in this approach.

Bamboozle would mean that one would be confused by your interpretation.

Whereas any erudite person knows your interpretation is wrong.

I imagine such trickery will need robust umpiring. Perhaps helped by the hall not being on the ground floor. Let's hope the umpire isn't on a short fuse eh?

Nice diagram Kev. Very useful and just after I cut myself a special 60' x 36' mat:

Good job I've got another one in case I need to make a 60' x 40' mat.

Obviously no one can add up!!!!! ( I mean Messrs Powell, Hazelbark and Ruddock  )

Its a 20" square, so if you take 8 of each edge it leaves Dave a 12x12 square to put his big pieces in....
That is if the space is left clear by other terrain placement

Spike, have you seen Dave's 12x12 pieces? No, nor has Dave.

Dave's 12x12 pieces are not exactly 12x12. Sheesh!

Next will be a lesson in irony Spike.
