AAR RC1 Medeine
General Razz here reporting to the Africa campaign.
Our objective is to encircle the Germans and eliminate them before they can retreat.
We have discovered a path through the mountains where we can swing around the Jerry's left flank.
Our Wellington crews have been working hard since the beginning of the campaign. They have earned a plus 3 defense. They can pretty much fend off what ever the Geri’s through at them. It is time to upgrade and go on the offense. Mk IC to Mk X. The extra Hard Attack will come in handy.
With 20 units in reserve, we can only supply 18 for this mission.
We have two Churchill battalions. One of units has plus one movement so I’m going to keep them as is. We expect them to do allot of fighting at the front and don’t want to upgrade to the Mk IV’s. We need to save on maintenance costs. Our other unit with +1 HA and Defense will get an upgrade to the Mk IV. It is under strength, so we won’t loose any cost to upgrade.
I still find the Hurricane I as useful as they are better attacking infantry and those Rommel boys sure know how to fight.
I only have two Elite units and its been a long campaign...
First round, the Germans make a surprise attack. We counter and get bad results for each attack.
Then in the end our Elite Spitfire squadron scored 4 hits and knocked out the Jerry’s Armor battalion.
Snapshot end of turn one.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
We push forward.
Our Elite Spitfires lead by Jeff Wood calls in for reinforcements as he encounter a Bf-109 group.
He earns a Hero medal and +3 Attack. Good job mate!
We’ll finish them off with the Hurricanes and leave the Bristol fighters to take the bombers out.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
The German Armor is tough but our artillery is helping. Even when the Panzers are fully suppressed and in the Red, our boys miss! It looks like we’ll have to surround them.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
Turn 3, the Jerry’s are still attacking. They eliminated our Engineer Bn which was just upgrade to 1943.
A Panzer group swung through the minefield we cleared and attacked them.
Our left flank has been discovered by Sahariana's and they are trying to push us back. In the mean time our artillery columns were strafed and took heavy damage. Red X’s marks the attacks.
Those Saharianas sure know how to fight in the desert. Our Churchills couldn't knock them out. I decide to reinforce my scout.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
There was no attack on turn 4 by Rommel so I pushed forward into the mine fields and battled the forts.
One was knocked out.
I’m going to halt my left flank attack for now until the main group can catch up.

Turn 7, I decide to move to cut off the Krauts. Let’s hope the Lyme’s can do it!
Artillery has been spotted behind the first line of fortifications. They shell my infantry and attack.
My Battalion is down to 1.
I must retreat.

Turn 8, I moved too soon. There are massive German units everywhere. Soon they will surround me.
The right flank is pictured here. As the Germans attack, I earn a medal. The George Cross.

Turn 9, As I sweep South of the forts and push through the forts and entrenched infantry, I get an opportunity to attack the artillery behind the line.
Joesph Johnson is a hero!
Well done... he get +3 defense bonus for the courage to attack an entrenched artillery piece.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
Finally on turn 13 the infantry pack up and leave.
Now I can pursue them.
Turn 14, the Hurricane Mk I squad earns the George Cross.
An Italian artillery unit tries to retreat and is ambushed by my commando.
We take pity on them and bury their dead.

We move in on Gabes. Fire 1,2. The enemy is suppressed by artillery.
On turn 16 we move in and capture the remaining flags after killing an 88 and 5 pack anti tank battalion.
Triumph has been awarded to General Razz.

Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
Thanks Razz - this looks ready for prime time. Can I move this across to the public forum and you can continue to update it?
Re: AAR RC1 Medeine
Yes, it can move over.
