I've noticed this before, but thought it was "just me". In fact even now I'm not positive.

If I go with the install path specified, the game end up in \Panzer Corps Allied Beta\Panzer Corps Allied Beta\

When I trim the specified path back (I install all my games in C:\Program Files\games\) everything's fine.
But I needed to delete Panzer Corps Allied Beta from the path specified in the installer to have the results I want.

Scenario Listing - Font size change the order.
I'm looking at the list. In the left column, reading down, I see Advance to Elbe, Anzio Landings, Battle of the Bulge, Border Raids, and Cobra.
When I select Cobra, it's shifted to the right column.

Simple reason: initially, the first item is Advance to Elbe. And it's emphasised. But because it's such a long name, it forces a line wrap, pushing Anzio Landings from the right to the left.
When another is selected, Advance to Elbe loses its emph and Anzio pops back up to its position on the right in the previous line.

p.s. I try not to overlook anything, reporting everything and letting you do the triage. I hope that's ok with you.

I do not observe this behavior. Do you use large fonts in Windows? Can you post a screenshot?

Default Vista fonts. Have never adjusted these.
I can take a screenshot. And normally I would have done so already. But heh as I've written elsewhere, I can post neither images nor links. /*wicked grin*/

It's version 1.20 beta 4. And in the release the version will be just 1.20 (without beta). See version string at the bottom of the main menu.

Guy, I assume you mean the library? The big (zoomed) images are removed from the beta version, to make the download smaller. Only the most recent additions (M10, Jeep, artillery) have a big picture, because they had to be tested as well. So you don't have to worry.

When I first went to download the beta ie click on the link provided in email it took me to the forum and the link to click on but then Bitdefender TrafficLight came up and said its a bad site and denied access so I turned off bit defender and tried again this time after clicking on link it started to download gibberish game code not a exe so I tried again remembering old mac file issues in web browsers and right clicked on the link instead and said save target as instead of left click to download, now I realise beta tester with some experience would probably now how to do this old school but find it may confuse other who are not aware of this little trick anyways just my observations cheers

To my knowledge, none of us had to turn down any of our AntiVirus protection to download the beta. The issue is probably related with your BitDefender.

Finally went to try it - started with Crete Campaign - and everything seems fine apart of two times longer loading - but it could be my windows 7 problem
maybe suggestion - not sure if it was - while deploying units - maybe deploying filds should be seen also on a smaller - tactical map - not sure but it seems i had to scroll the map to find out where to place units...
also - i don't know - didn't find it in panzer corps anywhere - but panzer general had a list of unit losses during battle and total in campaign - i owuld like to have it here also - seems like nice feature

also seems odd - the load game option offers to load old saves from panzer corps althoug panzer corps is not installed now - just went on to try it - and got misssing filles error - which is logical

Have just received an email about the final release candidate. Tried to load - but it's still linked to beta 4? Also, this link (http://www.slitherine.com/files/panzer_ ... -beta4.exe) does not work (logically, as it should be beta5 .. but this one doesn't work too)? Directory browsing is disabled. No need to hurry, i can finish Market Garden in V4 (if i did not delete it ... ooops).

Also, the mail asked for writing AARs. Sorry, stupid question .. but what's an AAR?

First of all:

Thank you so much for the beta invitation. I really enjoyed it so far.

Just finished the campaign and found no major problems.
Still I want to list some minor things though:

- P-47 Thunderbolt picture looks all the same, no matter what version you have. But later versions (P-47D+) had a full view canopy like later versions of the mustang.
- Why are there no german jets in the last scenarios? or did I miss something.
- I miss an option, where I can start a war with the soviets in the end
- Some citynames in the "Crossing the Rhine" scenario are misplaced. The city "Selm" should be called "Lünen" instead. (I live there, thats why. ) It would fit better geographically.
- Maybe I am a total noob ... but I still can't find a button to sell/disband units or did I miss something again?

So long ... maybe I add some things to that list one day.
