Pursuits Contacting Enemy Flanks

Post by stevoid »

Hi,

Maybe I have a brain-block on this but...

Does a pursuit that contacts an enemy flank count as 'Charging a Flank or Rear' with all it's consequences if that pursuit does not meet the criteria for charging an enemy BG in its flank/rear, i.e. it pursues after impact/melee and strikes the enemy flank with a front edge or corner?

If such a pursuit-charge occurs and the enemy are in combat to their front, how then is this resolved - the rules say that such a charge could not have been declared but are silent on pursuits that make such contact?

If a pursuit occurs as a result of impact combat and contacts fresh enemy, then that contact is resolved in the same impact phase. Is there any limit on the number of pursuits that become charges in the one phase/turn? What's the record so far

Cheers,

Steve

It only counts as a flank/rear charge if it qualifies.

If it doesn't qualify as a flank/rear contact, treat as a frontal impact, then conform in the manoeuvre phase to an overlap position.

No limit. We had a couple of these this weekend at Burton. Haven't seen more than 2 in one phase.
