Re: Mega pack discounts
We made it last for a month which seems fair and we made it really really clear in all the coverage and announcements. I think it's very unlikely we'll turn it back on.

Re: Mega pack discounts
Maybe I missed some emails but I can only see it mentioned in the April Newsletter. It does mention the discount, but definitely no mention of any timescale.

Re: Mega pack discounts
There was a specific page set up for the megapack which the newsletter linked to with all the terms and conditions. The newsletter has a direct link to it to get the information saying "Find out more details here". There were also global forum announcements, twitter posts and discussions in various forum threads that made it as clear as possible.

Re: Mega pack discounts
Iain, Not a problem, I just think it kind of odd that it was for such a short period. Please remember not everyone uses twitter or facebook or browses these forums frequently.
I for example haven't even looked at the forums since my post prior to these which is probably a good few months. Likewise I hadn't actually played the game since February due to burnout and other new titles. Just a suggestion for future but if you send an email advising of a discount it would be best to put the expiry date, or some indication of a time limitation, in that email as otherwise this could well be construed as a breach of advertising.

Re: Mega pack discounts
Yes the time scale is a little shady. What would be the harm in extending it? I am disabled and don't get paid until the 1st. Why would you not have made the time limit more pronounced. I was a loyal customer and would have qualified for the discount. The only reason for such a short time span is one I would not have never associated with you guys.

I never thought anything would turn me away from PC but it's hard for me to buy anything ever again knowing I already lost out on something that was so outspoken on the forums.

Re: Mega pack discounts
Discount time frame not clear to me either. I guess I won't buy the megapack as I already have through GC 43. I'm not the gov't. I make my decisions on dollars and cents
Re: Mega pack discounts
No matter what time frame you set there is always someone going to miss it. I should not 30 days be enough to at least check once of the following like RSS feed, start page announcements, newsletter email or forums. Either here at Slitherine or Matrix Games.
However if you buy them for the regular price it's still a very fair offer considering the content. I bought all 10 DLC's previously for $4.99 each and still bought later the Mega Pack physical with discount only for install convince, backup and as collector item for my workroom shelf.

Yes but some of us are less unfortunate with income.Dragoon wrote:No matter what time frame you set there is always someone going to miss it. If you want to be kept up to date on, vouchers, sales, discounts, the latest news, etc... the best thing is to subscribe to the newsletter at Slitherine or Matrix. Especially if you don`t visit our sites or forums regularly, this is the best guarantee you won`t miss the action.

If I had heard anything on a time limit I sure would have.
Re: Mega pack discounts
Give us a few days. (those who just missed out on realizing there was a time limit) and those who could not act within that short time frame.lordzimoa wrote:If you want to be kept up to date on, vouchers, sales, discounts, the latest news, etc... the best thing is to subscribe to the newsletter at Slitherine or Matrix. I believe you to be a fair group.

Re: Mega pack discounts
I though they were very fair, I had to buy the thing at full price, without any chance at a DISCOUNT. I didn't see buy the full game get a $5.00 or $10.00 discount on the DLC's nooooooo, I didn't see that. You who had bought the game and didn't bother to pay attention to what was going on now want a break and want to have more time to save money give it up winners. I work in a regulatory industry I here the same thing all the time I didn't know I had to keep track of what was going on to keep my license. I bet you have the newest upgreads to the games don't you? You keep up todate on that. I'm just hopping this isn't going to cost me $200.00 for my iPad. Yes I guess I'll pay that, without complaint.

No reason to attack people now. It's Slitherine's decision how to handle this and people can ask politely if they missed it. Nobody did any screaming or shouting about it so far, so let's not start that. This community should be above that. We don't want this to slide into the flame wars we all know from different forums

Re: Mega pack discounts
Agreed I definitely didn't intend my comments to cause so much contention. However there are a final few points I would like to make.
I'm not asking for this offer to be reinstated I'll simply buy the one DLC I don't have by itself. The extra space (6GB) is not really a huge issue although the sheer size of the DLC's is somewhat confusing given they take no time at all to install.

There seems to be some contradiction here? Buy the download DLC then get 70% off the boxed edition?VPaulus wrote:Welcome.Terte wrote:Hello,
I have Panzer Corps downloadable edition.
If i want to have the cd version i would have to pay again the whole price ?
Or its a possiblity to pay only the 10 usd upgrade ?
Thank you
I'm afraid you would need to pay the whole price if you want the boxed edition.

Apologies if there was something in the May newsletter (if there was one and accidentally deleted) that I may have missed.Slitherine wrote:We know that a lot of people already have at least some of the Grand Campaign and rather than have you pay for the same thing twice we've found a way to offer you great discounts. For each of the 10 DLC's you already own you will get 10% off the price up to a whopping 70%! Find out more details here.

Re: Mega pack discounts
In 22 of April, the time of my post, I thought that there was no possibility to convert a digital version to a boxed version. I was wrong, in the Mega Pack's case there was an exception to the rule, and it was possible.CrimsonStorm wrote:Dragoon wrote:I bought all 10 DLC's previously for $4.99 each and still bought later the Mega Pack physical with discount only for install convince, backup and as collector item for my workroom shelf. There seems to be some contradiction here? Only a few days latter I realized that. Honestly, didn't even remembered that I had replied that, otherwise I would have post again with the correct information.
My apologies.
Re: Mega pack discounts
You listen to wienner's all day you sometimes raise the LETTERS sorry to everybody. Just tell me I won't have to pay $200.00 and wait until 2140 for the iPad verison.

Re: Mega pack discounts
VPaulus, no apology necessary. I just wish all of the information, expiry dates conversion ability etc. had been made clearer to all. I'm sure a lot of people who may have balked at buying all the DLC's as boxed items due to the cost would have jumped at the chance with the discount if only they had been made more aware.
Hopefully the mega pack will be included in the next sale (Christmas maybe?) and maybe I'll buy it then.
