Beta 3. General. Starting prestige 5180, ending 129. Triumph on 16/16.

This was a fun scenario. The balance of forces seems about right. Prestige does get drained very quickly however. I think the extra costs for over strengthening units could be scaled back a bit. I don't mind the concept, but the costs seem a bit too high for the higher strengths.

I was able to push forces forward to the airborne units in time to save them and hold the bridges. The final AI attack at Arnhem would have been quite a challenge if it had begun a turn or two earlier. The M-36 Jackson's are excellent for dealing with the Axis armor.

I am about to start this battle in the campaign, but looking at the map it looks a bit strange. Since I am a dutch guy I know the area rather well, but I mainly miss all the forest hexes. The Eindhoven map from the Grand Campaign looked much better.
What do I really miss? Forest North of Arnhem and South of Eindhoven.
I know the scale of this map is a bit different from the GC map, but overall I think there should be more forest hexes. If you like, I can give you some topo maps from around 1940.
Historically the Allies had a hard time to get from Lommel to Eindhoven, because of the forests and dug in enemies. Just tried the first turn of this battle, but it seemed a little easy since the troops weren't dug in or in a forest.

I would have liked hexes with heather, but I understand this is not included.

Market-Garden - Beta 4

Level: General
Prestige Begin: 5165 At Deployment: 25 End/Vict: 298/+5573
Results: Triumph 16/16

Upgraded: Hellcat and Wolverine to M36 Jackson(s)
OS all units

Core Inf: 1 SE Ranger, Commando, HW inf
Armor: 5 Churchill IV, Sherman Firefly, 1 Crocodile, 2 Daimler Recon, 2 M4A3(76)W, and 2 M36 Jackson
Artillery: M7 Priest, Sexton, 2 BL 7.2 inch, 2 155mm M12 GMC, Calliope
Air: 1 Hurricane IIC, 1 Tempest V, 2 SE Spitfire Meteor, 2 Mosquito VI S2, 2 Lancaster, and 1 B-17G

Problems: I did not observe any issues. Just kept prestige up for my fighting core.

Scenario: Used bridgelayer to assist in a quick deploment from staging area. Also, used to ford river w of Eindhoven. There Force West made contact and destroyed the armor, AA, and Artillery. Then part of Force West crossed the river just east of s-Hertsgenbosch. 1 Churchill and 2 x M4A3(76)W supported by a Calliope approached s-Hertsgenbosh from the SW and took the Airfield just west of that city. Force West destroyed the AT at the city, moved North to finish armor around and then take Oss. Their duty was then to come East and support and defend Veghel and Grave.

Force North drove up the road from Eindhoven to support and hold the Maas-Wall Canel and Nijmegen. Took Airfield SE of Nijmegan.

Another force continued North to relieve, support, and hold Arnhem (JUST IN TIME).

On to Battle of the Bulge..my first attempt since I chose the V1 rocket sites last time.

Build 4

I think the possibility of the Germans blowing a bridge would be nice.

Beta 4, FM, Chess mode, Triumph 16/16, Ending prestige 2057.

I cleared the map during the 16th turn. For the rest, it was straightforward and easy like the last time.

Beta4/RC1 - Colonel - DV at turn 16

I thought it would be harder than it was in real. A very entertaining scenario with and compared to the previous scenario not so expensive: much more fun and less tactics.
The counterattack in the last turns in the north was tough but I could place some units in this area to support the paratroopers. Yes, this scenario had fun, I would not change anything.
