Re: Allied: Fort Capuzzo
not a difficult scenario but I enjoyed it.
It is not hard to get by the mines, and shows the importance of having artillery.

Re: Allied: Fort Capuzzo
In addition to what has already been mentioned:
The Defence of Fort Capuzzo should be strengthened and the Italians could launch a counterattack, after all it is an important base.
Anyway, I still had 6-8 rounds left, both in difficulty as well as Colonel and General.

Fort Capuzzo – beta 1
Level: General
Ending Prestige 749
Result: DV 14/18
Another solid tutorial scenario. I spent my prestige on a 25 pounder, some infantry, and a Hurricane. The hurriance of course turned out to be a silly purchase, and my issues with the deployment hexes have already been addressed. I don't recommend that it be made harder, it is a good scenario for players to get their bearings and earn some experience for their troops.

Played it again in Beta 2 and it seems still fine. Haven't noticed any changes from Beta 1.

Beta 2 - Colonel - DV at turn 9
Noticed no changes to Beta 1, still this scenario is a tutorial mission which is easy to win.
I noticed also that supply is reduced only on core desert tiles perhaps it would be possible to reduce supply also on the hills and fortifications surrounded by desert.

Beta-3 - colonel level - triumph 11/18 - prestige 72 (start) / 672 (end) + 1400 (victory bonus)
purchaseses: infantry + bren carrier, cruiser mk I, qf-25 pounder + quad
The scenario seems to be finished and the prestige rewards function properly.

Fort Capuzzo
Colonel Level
Starting Prestige: 864
Disbanded one of my armored cars (more than one recon unit is rarely necessary in any PC scenario, right?).
Upgraded my Vickers to a Cruiser Mk1.
Bought an additional Crusier Mk1, a motorized 25 pounder, and a motorized Infantry. 6 prestige left.
Destroyed the last of the supply dumps on turn 8.
Triump 11/18. Ending prestige: 463.
Fun introduction to attacking fortifications.

Level: General
Prestige Begin: 900 End: 624 Victory: +1400
Results: Triumph 15/18
Purchased British Inf w/Bren Carrier, Cruiser I, and 25 pounder w/Quad
Infantry was a little harder to defeat within the fortifications...but good artillery helps..

Re: Allied: Fort Capuzzo
After adding one Cruiser, one infantry and one piece of artillery, it's been extremly easy. But as mentioned before - for someone totally new to this, it's a great scenario to learn.
As in Border Raids: experience for destroying those dumps comes after deselecting the destroying unit. Nothing more to report, sorry.
Best Regards
Tom

Re: Allied: Fort Capuzzo
My first play through I did not buy any units. I destroyed all the enemy units with no losses. Difficulty level Colonel. Good beginner scenario. No issues noted.

Beta 4. General. Starting prestige 900, ending 719. Triumph on 15/18.
My second run through on this one. No issues to note. This seems to be ready for release.

Fort Capuzza - RC1
Level: General
Prestige Begin: 900 At Deployment: 54 End: 654 Victory: +1400
Results: Triumph 12/18
Purchased British Inf w/Bren Carrier, Cruiser I, and 25 pounder w/Quad
Created two small forces, each with an Inf, Recon, Armor, and Artillery. One advances on middle fortress VH. The other advances to the NW corner VH. Always bombard with artillery before attempting to take VH. Don't forget to destroy any artillery supporting the VH first. I had the Cruiser begin destroying all of the supply dumps. You will receive prestige reward upon their destruction. The last VH in SE corner is tough... artillery is a must.
