Best file sharing website

Post by flakfernrohr »

What is the best and easiest to use "free" file sharing website. I tried Gamefront, but it is not working right.
Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

I've used sendspace to transfer files, no complaints so far. It depends on what you are looking for, I guess. Some have download limits, or limits on the filesize (like sendspace). And it seems more and more countries are blocking access to foreign locations :| . So the 'best' service will depend a lot on what you want/need.

Sendspace I dislike because you cannot see there how many people have downloaded your mod. And that is a "payment" for me so I need it. :) Otherway it is a good option.
I use now Wordpress - I made several blogs and upload the files there as a registry. Works wonderful with images and I could also upload the IC 2.0 - I just had to overwrite the ZIP file to DOC. ;)

That is not true. You can see how many people down loaded it. Just go to my account, files.

I have a free account in sendspace and I'm able to see how many times the files are downloaded. :)

I have been using DMP as a dedicated host. But i use sendspace too from time to time. I gave up Gamefront entirely.

In my opinion "sendspace" has too much advertising, and therefore I don´t like sendspace!

I agree, sendspace has too much advertising.
I think I'll try mediafire for my next update in RSM Redux mod. 8)

Try https://rapidshare.com/

File do not stay there an eternity (after 30 days I think this is over), that's the one I use when I need to transfer big files to friends.
If you want to keep files without time limit you have to pay for.
