We can by now review the scenario briefing with CTRL+M, "show messages".
This is often very helpful and was a requested feature.
But to see the victory conditions I often nevertheless reload the scenario to get to know what exactly I am supposed to do.
My suggestion is to add victory conditions like
Triumph: Kill all eighty-eights in blocking screen and at least 3 units from 150th Brigade should hold their position in area marked B.
Victory: Kill all eighty-eights in blocking screen.
to the briefing in bold letters, at the end of the briefing.
This would look like this, example the "Cauldron" scenario:
Rommel has come a long way since we ran him all the way back to El Agheila. But now he’s in a tight spot. He’s swept around the southern flank of our Gazala Line but the Italian failure to take Bir Hacheim has made his supply situation desperate. He’s been forced to re-deploy into an area they’re calling the Cauldron. Unless he smashes through the fortified box held by our 150th Brigade and he cannot resupply adequately and he’ll find himself trapped behind our line. Your task is to ensure that at least 3 units of the 150th Brigade survive in the box marked as B on your map. Counterattack toward them with your armor -- but first, you must destroy the anti-tank shield Rommel has erected!
Triumph: Kill all eighty-eights in blocking screen and at least 3 units from 150th Brigade should hold their position in area marked B.
Victory: Kill all eighty-eights in blocking screen.
Adding the victory conditions text to the briefing?

Well, you do get them re-iterated at every turn splash screen.
I agree though, it would be nice for completeness of information.

I agree, it would be very nice to have them. Sometimes you don't want to wait for the splash screen while plotting strategy.

I also have the impression that sometimes the briefings do not very clearly state the mission aims (forgot to take notes for examples but will do so with the next beta version). Especially, in my opinion it would be nice to make clear for what achievements bonus points can be obtained (e.g. destruction of supply dumps, etc.).

I have to restrain myself from automatically clicking to skip them every time these splash screens pop up, because I then kick myself when later in the turn I have a question about the victory conditions.Ballacraine wrote:Well, you do get them re-iterated at every turn splash screen.

I agree with JLChamberlain - it would be nice to be able to look up the mission aims during the turn (so, I am not the only one clicking it away too fast at the beginning of my turn
). If they are clearly stated in the mission briefing that will work easily by using the "message"-window.

Re: Adding the victory conditions text to the briefing?
Couldn't agree more. Some time I have to blunder my way through the first turn just so I can get to see the victory conditions again before the next one!JLChamberlain wrote:

+1 to have the VC in the briefing!
