28mm Basing
I have a quick question.
My rules are en-route but before they arrive I need to know what are the base size for Generals. I plan to rebase all my pretty Perry and Kingsford command bases for these rules (Yea I know no Samurai list. But it never hurts to be prepared. Plus I am doing a Ceasrian army in 28mm)
Thanks for the help.

60x30mm will probably be correct for dismounted Samurai.irondog068 wrote:Thanks!
I take it most infantry are 60x30mm. Some of my Samuria will not fit on a 20mm base (Kingsford). Are cavalry 60x60mm base? I figure 3 heavy/medium to a base and 2 light horsies. Hopefully my rule will arrive by Friday so we can discuss them at our hobby shop game night.

Cavalry bases are notionally 60mmx40mm but you have use deeper bases if you need to do so to fit the figures on. Cavalry figure numbers as you state.

Cavalry
Thanks for the heads up on Cavalry. I was going to get bases and I might as well get the right ones. So
Infantry: 60x30
Cavalry: 60x40
Command: 60x60
When I do my Romans I think the Legion will still be on a 60x30 because I do not think the figs would fit on a 60x20. If they fit I take it 60x20 is correct of Legions. Auxilery would be 60x30.

Re: Cavalry
For the Romans, if you're going for 60x30 bases for the legionaries AND Auxilia, you may want to consider going for 4 HI legionaries to a base and 3 MI auxilia to a base (if you use MI for the auxilia) so it's easy to visually distinguish between HI legionaries and MI auxilia.irondog068 wrote:Thanks for the heads up on Cavalry. Romans
I do not think 4 28mm figs will fit on that small of a base. also I am pretty sure I can tell a Roman from a Auxilla. I always "Hollywood" my Romans you know red shield, red tunic lots of wine.
