Russian Surrender in early 1916?

I just played as CP against the AI (privileged) with the latest update and was surprised that Russia surrendered in early 1916. I had not even been attacking Russia (concentrating on Italy), and only held Warsaw and Sarikamish. In earlier versions I believe it was too hard to get Russia to surrender, but maybe it's now too easy!
