All my divC games finished - thanks to a great bunch of players for really enjoyable games, and congrats to Dave and his Lydians for what I'm guessing will be the divC champion.

This was a brutal, brutal game with no quarter granted or taken. I feel fortunate to have won. Thanks for a great game, Rex.

fogman (indo-greeks) 23/49 vs cavehobbit (later macedonians) 42/40.
the indo-greeks managed to ambush the macedonians' small cavalry on one wing and sweep aside their medium foot on the other. the macedonian pikes pursue the indo-greeks fruitlessly in the centre and ended being picked off one by one.

Lydianed (EAP Plataea) 33/41 vs Voskarp (EAP Greek Wars) 41/40
Persian on Persian action. You'd normally have to pay and risk communicable diseases for this kind of fun. Two very evenly matched armies met across a broad front. The EAP Greek Wars team - let's call them the rebels - got the better of their opponent's right in toe-to-toe immortal infighting. Although they won this detail they were unable to exploit the opening and got delayed with lights and cavalry. A swirling cav battle on my left wing eventually resolved in my favour while my centre of hoplites plus a couple of units of immortals made the difference and won the day. The game was closer than the score suggests. Thanks for a thriller Oskar.

Isn't this the same game where your sparabara-type troops annihilated all the pikes, superior HW MF, offensive spear MF and impact foot troops I put against them? Hmmmm.rexhurley wrote:I was robbedflatsix518 wrote:div b result

Division C Result:
uheng1997 - Parthians (27/38) v. Voskarp - Persians (41/40)
Persians were not maneuverable enough to evade the wall of Cataphracts. Even the mighty Immortals succumbed to the wall of iron and hooves.
thanks for the game voskarp.

Great work! Any chance of a battle report, as I keep getting spanked by Dave's Lydians?Greetings44 wrote:Div C Result

My dance card is getting empty. Is there anyone out there in Div B who wants a go against my Pontics?

Re: Challenges & Results - Classical, season 10
Due to a combination of a late start and an upcoming 3 week holiday, I am going to drop out of Div B. Classical this season so I can focus on finishing all my other matches. Voskarp and Erik should be letting you know who will be replacing me. Since I have no completed games in this division I don't think it will affect the standings.
Apologies and Good Luck folks (and see you in other flights).
Tom
PS. If you stop by the house we can share glasses of Remy Martin XO and swap storied about the non-random dice roller
