I guess the orders could be given in the same way except that night movements are issued after the normal (day) movements. A BG that is supposed to attack at night shouldn't be able to move in the first (day) run but instead stand still and if attacked their coming night movement is cancelled. However, after the battles at day (AM/PM) are done the night movements would be executed. And then we have a night attack. :D

I don't want to make things too advanced. It was just a thought giving some BG more of an advantage and the game an additional dimension.

Sounds reasonable Alexis...

Under your suggestion, Commanders would continue to submit their complete orders for each day, as per usual... but lower priority moves can now be marked "NIGHT" if they should not be executed until night time.

Perhaps the only thing we should add is a limitation that any defending BG can only be involved in max 3 defensive night battles per turn (the first 3 to be executed).

Dawn will always come eventually (for the survivors! ;-))...

You got it right! :D My explanation wasn't too bad then.
If you think it is a good suggestion, bring it up with the commanders.

We finisged the abbaye Battle. I am sorry for honour because it wasn't a fair battle the tank división was todo much for the German infantry. It wasn't to fair of a fight.
The result is that all the units of the Germán side were killed and On the allied side we lost 2 Cromwell and 1 M5.

Joncorcuera, you must have played someone else! In my battle I killed all allied units and one of my VG-units got wounded.

No, I confirm the results. I lost my three AT-guns quickly against his horde of tanks. After that my infantry tried to hide in the villages but they couldn't get away and were massacred.

Allies hold all VP-flags and lost 2 Cromwells and 1 M5.
Germans lost everything, all flags, all units, their reputation, even their manhood...

Thanks for your (characteristically perfect!) Strat Maps P-A...

While we're waiting for the meat grinder that is Caen to end (hmmm, no mercy from Monty, eh?), here's a little something for the adventurous to experiment with... Amaris, Al, Ranger & I have been knocking together a fun little map of Dieppe for LandMarine... It's still 'a bit beta' but here's a link to the full download, if you're curious -> viewtopic.php?f=87&t=42347&p=399048#p399048

Thanks Michael... Allied attacker loses and retreats... The next Pegasus battle will be a fresh AFD (so long as the defender doesn't move)

Caen has about 10 more turns or so to go. if we can reach an accord with our enemy, I will notify you. But, they keep firing at us in their own self-defense, soooo....

Do I detect the mood music moving towards an honourable truce in Caen? 8)
So that Caen 2 can begin...?

We will let them withdraw, if they surrender the one flag first. Otherwise I'd like to use a few more turns to see if I can get control over it. Then offer truce =)

Caen PM 1 is complete.

The Germans were, I'm afraid, annihilated. Sorry Al, it broke our commander's mother's heart to hear what her son did this day, in Normandy, but it had to be done to keep the road to Caen open. I think she will understand, in time.

English losses:

1x Croc
1x Infantry
1x Scout
1x Flamey

German losses:

20 units total

1x Panzer IV
2x Stug
2x Wirbles
.... need help with rest of list
