Re: New Allied Units List
Thank you for inviting me to yet another beta, I look forward to doing my part to help out. Is there any chance we might see some new German units too? I think it would be cool to see a Panther II or Lion as a special "boss" unit like the KV-5 was in the Grand Campaign.
As always, I also repeat my request for horse transport! It would be good for beat-up, fuel-deprived units in the later scenarios (and of course, for players to use during the German campaigns as well".

Re: New Allied Units List
I'd like to see the new T28 tank get improved. The Tortoise has 2-2 odds on the predictor to fight a King Tiger, but the T28 has a poor -5 -3 prediction in favor of the King Tiger.
This is even more worrisome, because the Maus completely outclasses both new Allied super armored units. We'll see what exactly multiplayer balance reveals, but I think the Tortoise might be okay, but the T28 should at least be the equal of the King Tiger, though still inferior to the Maus.

Re: New Allied Units List
This is probably mentioned somewhere before but just in case: The SE rangers are missing attack animation and sound.
Re: New Allied Units List
I think the Do-17 Pencil needs more fuel, we'll see how it handles the new MP map.

Re: New Allied Units List
I noticed I was not able to buy Australian units in the Bardia scenario. I really hope that you allow us to buy units from the "minor"allied nations. One of the things I was most looking forward about this expansion was being able to lead a multi-national core. I wanted to lead an American armored division, flanked by a Canadian Infantry division (lumberjack commandos FTW), and maybe some Free Polish and New Zealander troops as well.
Re: New Allied Units List
The British AT guns look nice, but they are not needed in this campaign so people probably couldn't test them.
The British tanks have this "issue", the Churchill trumps the other "Infantry Tanks" like the Valentine and Matilda so much, guess nobody bought a Valentine during the campaign. But well. I think we will also have a "Meteor" fighter issue later on, it becomes available quite early and I don't think Meteors fit into D-Day.
In general the British tank dilemma of the differentiation between "Cruiser" and "Infantry" tanks is well portrayed and maybe... well, maybe the Valentine was just that, SHIT!

You are abel to do it but, the "show all nations" buttom must be marked. This is however unlogical and need a fix.monkspider wrote:I noticed I was not able to buy Australian units in the Bardia scenario. Re: New Allied Units List
I have also noticed that the Valentine tanks seem a bit too slow. They should be at least equal to the Churchills in speed, I think bumping them up to 4 movement would be appropriate.
Re: New Allied Units List
I noticed the B-17F has a range of 441. i think that's a typo. 141 sound about right?

Re: New Allied Units List
I just now realized we never had access to the Matilda I for some reason, it would have been a decent little tank to have for the early scenarios.
Re: New Allied Units List
P47 N and SE version have some pretty insane fuel amounts. Low triple digits is debatable, but just 230 is too much, perhaps 1xx.
Re: New Allied Units List
I wondered about that, too. thanks for mentioning it.monkspider wrote:I just now realized we never had access to the Matilda I for some reason, it would have been a decent little tank to have for the early scenarios.
Re: New Allied Units List
I guess the Matilda I is not included in this theater because it was only used briefly by the BEF in Northern France in 1940, and was quickly removed from frontline service after the fall of France.

Re: New Allied Units List
You are right ThVN. I wonder if any Matilda I's fought in Africa at all? They are a reasonable choice compared to the Vickers and Cruiser, they have much better armor at least.
One other thing, it seems like we are missing some of the later versions of the Valentine. Some models were just Canadian variants, but there are some that would give this line of tanks some further legs. The Valentine VIII in particular added the 6 pounder gun. Would it be possible to get this unit added? Even if it had to just use the same artwork as the mark IV.

Re: New Allied Units List
Crocodile Tank should perhaps be in the Churchill tank family to allow, as it was an upgrade of the Churchill tank.
Re: New Allied Units List
Same observation here. The B17F also has 444 range, twice that of the B17G and more than the B29 Superfortress.Kerensky wrote:P47 N and SE version have some pretty insane fuel amounts. Low triple digits is debatable, but just 230 is too much, perhaps 1xx.
Re: New Allied Units List
In PC I could use the 88 AA and mobile AA units as they were valuable.
In Allied General, I feel no need to use them. I have tried, but they are a waste of prestige and a slot.
I think a little more air combat may entice us to buy and use one of these units.

Re: New Allied Units List
The Churchill MkIV has better stats than the MkVI. This must be an error ?
