Great news just intriqued as to how that translates into actual numbers of pre sales through all channels. I was looking to compare that to I think around 1000 sales reputed for dbmm.
Any way I am still waiting my copy from Amazon but an early well done to all of the team.

Well, the Amazon-powered bookshops on my website have sold nearly 50 copies of the rules, and similar numbers of the first two lists.

I can't imagine that I'm anywhere near capturing 1/20th of the total sales on Amazon, never mind the other distribution channels, so my money is on it being out of sight vs DBMM already.

According to an earlier announcement here, the first print run has already been sold out, just in the UK market. So sales thus far would be however many copies were in that first print run, plus the numbers of preorders for the US, Australia, etc. Quite good, I would say! :)

By the way, on Amazon US, the FoG rules book currently ranks:

#3,904 in Books (all)
#7 in Books > Entertainment > Puzzles & Games > Role Playing & Fantasy

And finally, to be fair to DBMM... I believe that the "1000 copies sold" report from Caliver was posted back in July 2007. So I imagine that the number would be somewhat higher by now.

Cheers,
Scott

Well it depends on how many were printed really.
The only slight problem is that because of the overwhelming number of pre orders we will have to go to reprint so it may take a little while for some outlets to get stocked.
I would be suprised if the first print run was only a thousand copies.

Time will tell how many people get the rules then decide they like them.

Can anyone at Slitherine say what the lead time is on the reprint and whether Amazon's release date of Feb 19th is still on, i.e. will they be getting their copies in the timeframe originally planned?

We have every expectation of meeting our delivery dates for North America but just to be safe and cover eventualities including a further surge in orders we are investigating air freight as an option rather than disappoint gamers.

Fair enough but some of us antipodeans ordered from the US who have always had a shipping date of the 19th. JD's response was therefore encouraging.

Greetings

Amazon UK indicates my copy of FoG and the lists will ship on 12th (Tuesday). I hope it arrives by next weekend - I'm in New York from tomorrow until Friday but it would be nice to read next weekend.

You should get by Friday unless you have gone for the supersaver postage option.
