Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 10th PM - Battles begin...
Allies always get the first actual move... Unfortunately, that's hardwired into BA, so I can't change it...

The Abbaye battle is moving on quickly. I am getting slaughtered, burned and crushed. After that, the cruel stuff will start to take place. Looks like Joncorcuera is just finished with his starter. I'm not looking forward to the next dish.

Any news on how the battles are going? I think Abbaye will be finished the next turn and the Germans are losing big time.

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 10th PM - Battles begin...
While we're waiting for Caen 1 to finish... I guess everybody has realised that Caen 2 will be fought at night... right?
To be 100% clear on what that means, for sure the map will have dark lighting, lol...
Also all units line of sight will be reduced by half...
BUT... night battles would normally lose their air support too...
In this instance, since I didn't warn you guys beforehand, and it would only affect one side (which feels unfair), let's keep the air support for Caen 2... Just please be aware that all future night battles will lose aircraft...

Caen 2 is a night battle since there has been two fights before (AM/PM) which have affected the coming battle in Caen. A night battle reduces the line of sight with half. That could be a great tactical advantage if you have a battle group that is better in close combat. I am wondering if we could add a night battle option for every battle? BG moves intended for night battles could be issued last in the order of moves.

Interesting idea... So commanders would issue their day orders and night orders...?Honour79 wrote:Caen 2 is a night battle since there has been two fights before (AM/PM) which have affected the coming battle in Caen.
