Open Spaces

Post by stevoid »

How are people playing open spaces, i.e. bits of string arranged to suit when placed or as fixed pieces of terrain with size and shape already selected before placement rolls etc?

The games I've played and seen have people using fixed pieces - I think this is correct as the rules don't say anything about allowing you to choose the size and shape of any terrain piece after placement rolls, etc. and open spaces are just a terrain piece.

That's what I thought it should be. I was just recalling the days of 7th and wondering what to do with my stringette collection, cue Monty Python sketch...

It would be a massive loophole to allow people to sculpt terrain --- even open space--after placements rolls. FWIW i think you must choose before dicing so say the rules.
