Listen, we're wargamers. These things don't happen to us. Our blind dates usually end up being with people who are blind. And then we feel relieved.
After reading through the book and seeing a lot of the words misspelled with "ou" instead of the more ergonomical "o", I have come to realize that this book must have been printed in one of those funny "British" sizes.
That's not misspelled. That spelling is correct. You have, perhaps by accident, puurchased something Foreign

He used that funny $ sign. I think that may be the "ex-colonial, now rebel" category

Well, I would have used a 'cents' sign, but my keyboard doesn't have one of those. :D

Slitherine will now be selling this as a perfume for wargamers's wives.
Reminds me of the 'Beach Smell' episode from Seinfeld.

It is a trifle odd that Slitherine have opted to do translations of FOG into European languages but have missed the opportunity of doing one into American to better facilitate a full understanding of the rules. They could have charged more due to the expense of hiring one of those translator types.

This is the one clear advantage of electronic books in that you can cover a myriad of languages to cover the world market like Russian, Swahili, Inuit, Cornish and Tyneside.

A bit belated, but I ordered the book. It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, nicely bound.

I realise that getting the printed copy out has been troublesome and appreciate the way Slitherine has responded to its customers' requests. I can't think of many companies of your size that would have done so with such agility.
