What does this mean?

Among the games that I have got running at the moment there are three that are "slow games" where my opponents haven't moved for 4 or 5 days. So I have got used to the order in which they appear in my "Opponents Turn" window. However, in the last couple of days the order of these three games has changed in the list and the time of the "Last update" has changed on two of the games even though I have received no new turn from my opponent. What does this mean? Have they opened the game and then closed it without completing their move? Or is it something else?

Yes, if your opponent opens and then closes the game it will update to the date time it was closed and uploaded. They can even make part of a move and close it.

BTW. It's legal to do that. What IS NOT legal is to make part of a move, be unhappy about the outcome, crash the client and re-download the turn. That isn't what this is sounding. They're just having to take some time with their moves -- I sometimes do that if I'm in a difficult game and need to think about things.

How do you know they are not crashing their system and restarting a turn? Why open the game and then do the same again a day later doesnt make any sense to me If the same thing happens with the same person all the time then what could that be?Sure you could open the game make a part move then close the game if your in a troublesome situation but deliberate slow play is whats happening here. Open the game then shut the game 2 days later open the game shut the game. Then when your opponent complains of slow play you say well i had a turn 2 days ago when in fact they havent. So its deliberate slow play or something else?????

It is certainly slow play and it is inconsiderate towards the other player. A completed move only takes a few minutes on most occasions. If a player deliberately crashes a turn in order to gain an advantage would this automatically change the "Last Update" details too? In one of my games where this has happened there is just long-range shooting so I don't think there is any advantage in cheating really. In games where there is a lot of meleeing then it might be different.
