Conflict of Heroes vs LnL Heroes of Stalingrad...

Post by MrsWargamer »

Just curious, one title is already in existence, and looking great (I have it), the other is basically a computer version of a board game that has earned considerable praise.

Both have the interest of the Advanced Squad Leader type gamer (and apparently I am not the only one). But the question is, which game is likely the one likely to win a product duel against each other?

I require a game be easy to operate, as I have seen too many wargames that insist on requiring I master 100s of pull down menus when it is not always a thrill to need to do so. I prefer games like Battle Academy with controls that are so straight forward a tutorial seems a waste of time twice round through.

I want it to actually emulate a board game, because frankly, I left my arcade games behind me in the 80s long before the Call of Duty and Battlefield crowd were even born in some cases.

Ideally I want an experience that feels like a board game minus the need for the long term table and dust layer. I don't require a wasted effort AI generally speaking, so I tend to favour hot seat being at least present. Multi player needs to be as simple as it is with Battle Academy or it isn't much of an option.

In the end, which title should I be pursuing firstest in my list of 'what to play' on any day I might ask this of myself.

Remember, you are trying to get me to NOT play my ASL that day :)
