Measurement tools

Post by danno81 »

So I've been trying to come up with something helpful for measuring in games since I don't like tape measures as they can be difficult to get into position and often allow for "creative" measuring in games. I've tried making my own using dowel rods, but my measurements are always a bit off :x . But after some digging I found a company here in the US that makes something helpful. They call it an "omni-ruler", basically a bunch of 1 inch aluminium rods that can be screwed together to make a measuring rod of any length I need (assuming of course it's 15mm game and I'm using inches for MUs). I've seen similar stuff out there but they're usually overseas, so it's nice to see this state side to avoid exorbitant shipping fees. The company is called "Corsec Engineering." Their website is http://www.corseceng.com if any of you wanna check them out, the product is called the omni-ruler. I'm not affiliated with the company or anything, I just found these things cool and helpful and thought some of you might like them.

There was a guy in the bhgs world that made fancy technical devices like that back in the DBM case. They came in the pretty red case.
