I've posted two challenges to face my Galatians

Flatsix518 (Pontic - Early) (16 / 43) vs Macsen (Hatran) (53 / 50)

A really bad army matchup for the Hatrans led to a brutal battle. Macsen gave a good fight where he could, but it was uphill all the way for him.

Jonah75 (Later Carthage post235BC) (42/54) vs Okie (Late Republican Rome) (33/29)

Despite wading through rivers of blood during a bitter assualt on rocky ground, the brave legions were eventually whittled down. Carthage's coffers may be somewhat depleted but Rome will not salt our fields today!

Our armies engaged and the main line wheeled like a rugby scrum. Outflanking and a raided camp won the day.

Not too much between these armies.. George had bad rolls at key moments..

Division (B)

flatsix518 (Pontic) (30/45) vs cavehobbit (Later Macedonians) (47/40)

Interesting battle. From my perspective, I didn't have enough pike vs pike muscle to meet cavehobbit's LMacs in a head-to-head battle. Cave hobbit's problem was that if he didn't keep his flanks secure, my cav superiority would take down his flanks. We spent some time dancing about. Cavehobbit feinted left, and I reacted. Then he feinted right, and I reacted. I was on the point of offering a draw when cavehobbit boldly advanced. The hobbit did a good job of keeping his flanks secure. But the effort thined out his line and reduced the force he had for his main assault. So in the end, our centers really fought on even terms. The dice favored me some, so eventually I gained an upper hand in the center. Cavehobbit had to keep reinforcing his attack, which weakened his flanks and created some opportunity there for me. The game was closer than the score indicates. I engaged in substantial overkill to pad my kill ratio for the tournament.
