Playing some of the GJS44 (Normandy) scenerios multiplayer and received a warning on each of the 3 scenerios I have just begun. "Opponent script does not match yours. Terminate the game and post on the forum" warning popped up.
The opponent told me to ignore it.
Can I continue to play or should I drop the game?

This should not happen so it needs to be fixed before you continue. You may have corrupt or modified data or you opponent may do so it means a reinstall for both of you really

There are a few different versions of GJS out there made by GL88...I would make sure you are both on the same version...2 cents

Re: GJS 44 SCRIPT WARNING
Guten Tag Erwin!
Yup, Morge is correct... As the GJS'44 campaign has progressed (and as new maps have been added to the GJS Tourney) various upgrades and mods have been included, tweaked or enhanced. However, it should show you your version number as GJS'44 v1.xx when you offer a new challenge. You and your opponent should both upgrade to the same version.
If you can wait for 48-72 hours, I'm about to release the latest version of our GJS Tourney, which will include:
- Corrected compass (so red = Normandy north; thanks Andrew)
- BA's v2.10 default scripts for swapping units (replacing rf900's previous scripts)
- 'Real engineers' (able to demolish walls/hedgerow, add/remove tank traps, cut down woods, create paths through marshland, at the cost of 1 charge per action; merci Amaris)
- A fix to our previous version of dual side MP deployment (although both sides will still be able to preload transports; with thank yous to Merr, Amaris and CaveHobbit)
- Rebalancing of Bren carriers and 251s (so both classes benefit from equally fast movement on roads/tracks; thanks to Iain)
- Rebalanced maps/starting forces for Carpiquet airfield, Hillman Battery fortress, and Sword beach (to recognise the impact of 'real engineers')

Re: GJS 44 SCRIPT WARNING
Thank you 88 for your hard work and I will be happy to install your new version.
I do have another problem that arose yesterday when I installed Fuel Depot (not your game I know). With only that game I am no longer able to play against my son. I am using an ipad and he is using a home computer. The game thinks that both the home computer and the ipad are the same player so I am not able to accept a challenge. I create the challenge with my ipad but it shows up in the list of challengeswith under the home computer name.
This only happens with the one game fuel depot versions 1 and 2. I can create challenges and accept them normally with both games.
Weird. Has anyone ever seen this issue before and how can I fix it.
Thank you

Re: GJS 44 SCRIPT WARNING
That's odd. I'll ask Pip if he can look at your post and see if it is anything I have done in the scenario files (it being my first rodeo)

Re: GJS 44 SCRIPT WARNING
Hmm - the issue does seem to come up now and again. I think it might be missing or misused files when you have different filename casings between iPad and other platforms. I'm out of the office this week, but I will take a look when I get back to see if there is any way for future updates to be more able to handle any small discrepancies.
Cheers

I'll make sure everything is in CAPS for the next version release.
Maybe before releasing I will recruit kingt or brummbar to try it out with me since they have ipads and I don't. :/
